    Happy Trails RV Rentals

Well as most of you know my family and I took a trip around WI this past week and had a wonderful…read moretime. Sad to say that the RV rental place is/was horrible to work with so all of you out there stay away from Happy Trails RV in Neenah. Here is a taste of some of the things that happened. First of all we found someone elses shirts in the RV the kid that we mentioned it to when we got back said sorry I missed that and then another girl/supposed manager said you forgot to pick them when you were done cleaning to the kid that was checking us in....um lady do you think that we are stupid they were two button down shirts who wears two button down shirts. Then I inspected the bed to make sure there were not bugs or anything like that low and behold what did I find HAIR ugh GROSS (most of you know my phobia with hair) Not that I wasnt going to wash the sheets before we left but still! Next we went to fill up the water in the rv and we were wondering why the water wasnt filling up now mind you this was 10/11 at night....well they never closed the valve for the water tank. Luckily my husband is smart and knows what to look for (I wouldent have known what to do/look for). The next thing that happened was I was in the middle of a shower and the water stopped! Low and behold the water pump for the toilets and shower took a dump (the whole reason why we got the thing in the first place). So we had to pack everything up we were planning on staying at the park that we were at for another day. Drove to Superior to get cell service to let them know what happened and started our search for someone to fix the pump. We were told the only people that do that in the area would be going to MN the opposite way that we were going...more mileage. Ed found a dealer that had the pump and he fixed it himself. So we contacted Happy Trail RV back asking for the day to be refunded the said prob not the whole day maybe half. Well we get back to drop off the RV on the last day and we were told no you will only get reimbursed for the part and $10.00.....ummmm WHAT we wasted a whole day trying to find out what to do not only that but mileage driving around town. We asked for a Sup/manager and after a bit of no one listening to us the girl finally said well we will do $40.00....still not even close to what we were paying for the RV for a day. Ok well we knew that we would not win with the people that we were talking to so we went home to write a letter. They were not seeing the whole picture that we saved them money by fixing the pump ourselves. So not only were we paying them for the day of rental but we paid them to fix their camper. So I got home today and my husband said well the gave $40.00 more for his time putting into fixing the camper and then he said they charged us $1900 plus for the camper for the week and I thought about it and that was not right....surprise surprise they were trying to charge is for 2029 plus miles when we only put on 1029. All that I can say if any of you were looking to do something like this STAY AWAY from Happy Trails RV in Neenah. Pay the extra per day and go to Appleton RV or Van Boxtel RV and I am sure that you will get WAY better service than we did with Happy Trails

Wow! This place rocked! Attended the big Air Venture show in July with my son. He is a pilot (as…read moream I) and really wanted to go. Since I live in California and he lives in North Carolina, this was quite a feat to plan. Happy Trails saved us a ton of work. They set us up to deliver our Tent Trailer on Saturday as I was scheduled to fly in that morning. Well, things went badly with weather and my connecting flight that was supposed to leave Detroit at 8:30 a.m. didn't leave until 3 pm. What an air traffic mess. I was going to miss my appointment to get the trailer and they saved the day! They said if we didn't care where our campsite was, they would just pick one for us and deliver the trailer and we didn't have to be there. So we arrived early evening and happened to both be on the same plane from Detroit. Honestly, the campsite is the one we would have wanted! Close to the store, bathrooms and WiFi. The trailer was perfect for us. We had great weather all week so we didn't have to deal with the inconvenience of not having air conditioning. We had an awning and we had shipped folding chairs. Everything was perfect, especially with the campsite Happy Trails got for us. Thank you to them and we WILL return and rent again!

The setup videos were helpful even if not precisely for the 2019 Jay Feather (unit B) we rented. Towing the 23' trailer with my V-6 Frontier was easier than expected, although you'll save some time if there are two of you to guide the towing vehicle to the trailer's hitch. I don't tow things often, but backing it I s kind of like riding a bike; once you've done it it comes back pretty readily. The unit was clean and well equipped for camping, although we were just parking it in our drive for the extra bedrooms and toilet. The cost seemed reasonable for our 3-night rental. The $150. for delivery and pickup, which includes the pump-out ($10 + $3 day pass @ Kohler-Andre State Park), is very reasonable, and is recommended if your time is valuable. All-in-all it was a great experience for the rental, and the use by our guests. One word of caution: be careful to only raise the trailer as high as necessary to clear the hitch ball on the towing vehicle. A 30A automotive blade type fuse protects the lift motor, and if "blown," by raising to the limit, you may be raising or lowering the trailer by hand crank, which is a bit more work.

Outstanding experience working with Caitlin and Point Creek RV from start to finish. Response time and communication was impeccable, the unit was spotless and fully equipped, excellent booklet inside with clear and concise instructions on start-up usage, maintenance, and return process. Caitlin and her team have left nothing to chance for a terrific customer experience. Throughout our trip, we had questions (because we didn't realize the instruction book had the answers) which I texted to her and received a response within 30 minutes ready and willing to troubleshoot. While our needs didn't bring us to a campground (we were on our family's driveway!), this unit was suited for both rookie and seasoned RV pros. Thanks so much for everything.

While stepping between units , there was a big patch of ice covered with snow, and I fell HARD on my left side, bruising my left leg from waist to knee, and jamming my left shoulder trying to break the fall. Austin attempted to help me up using one hand, was unsuccessful and I fell again. I think that there should have been ice melt or sand on the patch of ice. An accident report was requested, and as of today 04Jan2026 I have not received a copy of the report, however I did receive an email from Austin wanting to show me more available units. No "sorry about the fall" just sales talk.. It concerns me that such a heartless communication would foster me wanting to utilize Kunes for a purchase. I am disturbed that they contacted myself about sales, yet never mentioned my injuries I'm still waiting for a copy of my accident report. It would be my recommendation that if a person is looking for an RV, to avoid at all cost Kunes RV Sheboygan North1`

Extremely Disappointing Experience - Buyer Beware…read more We've been avid campers for over 30 years, and this was not our first camper purchase--so we came into this process well-informed and excited to upgrade. Unfortunately, our experience with Kunes was nothing short of disappointing. We initially spent two hours on a Monday evening browsing their inventory and scheduled to return Tuesday night to view more options. On Tuesday, we sat down with a salesman, negotiated what we thought was a final number (with our trade-in valued at $24,000--which aligns with JD Power's $20,000-$25,000 estimate), and left believing we'd return Thursday to finalize everything. Thursday arrived and we were genuinely excited. The staff welcomed us warmly, we completed a full walk-through of our new camper, and learned how to operate everything. However, just before signing the final paperwork, the manager approached us with "an issue" regarding our trade-in: a 4"x4" soft spot on the floor on both slide outs--assumed same damage under the fridge, Teagan did NOT remove the fridge to look, just used a flashlight. We were told this would require a full floor replacement at a whopping $12,000--due to possible water intrusion from screws or caulking. My husband immediately said the deal was off. Then, in the very next breath, the manager asked, "Well, would $8,000 work for you?" Just like that, $4,000 came off the "repair estimate". That raised serious red flags--how inflated was that repair cost to begin with? Meanwhile, we returned to the showroom only to be congratulated by the staff on our "purchase" while we informed them there was no sale happening. In the end, we hooked up our 2017 Bighorn and took off on our trip--grateful we didn't fall for a questionable deal. Thanks for the no-sale, Kunes. You saved us money and reminded us why we loved our current camper in the first place.
