I am seriously in the market to spend hundreds of thousands on a motorized RV so I simple drove through their lot today and a guy came running out and forcefully motioned to roll my window down and strongly scolded me for not being with a sales rep in their lot. We found the Alliance we wanted to purchase at the Kunes Open House on May 16, 2026 and were told the price of that RV would be going up after the open house. We put a deposit on the unit we wanted and went back to Kunes six days later, May 22, 2026 to complete the purchase. The finance paperwork, which I did not look at carefully, reflected numbers that were not discussed, claiming they had to show more equity in our trade in to get us a better rate. Also, two days after signing, May 24, I checked the Kunes website and saw the unit we purchased was $6,000 less than it was initially listed. I did go back to the store and spoke with the finance person on May 30. He explained in circles and I was not satisfied with the answer and asked to speak with the sales manager, who was 'busy' at the time. Three phone calls and an email later (13 days), I was finally able to talk to the sales manager (who never returned a call or responded to the email). Sales manager said the original paperwork had a different selling price and even that price was more than the price listed on their website on May 24. He would do nothing about the price difference. In hindsite, I should have paid more attentions to reviews I read and what people had said about Kunes and visited a different RV dealer, even if I had to travel out of state. My suggestion would be to stay away from Kunes RV and RUN!! read more

Went in on June 6th to purchase a 5th wheel. I won't get into the horrible service, but I will say we were talked into a $1700 "Camp Ready" package... premise was the unit would be prepped and ready to leave the yard to go straight to a campground. We picked it up on June 13th and went directly to the campground where we found it was not cleaned and was not de-winterized. So instead of being able to enjoy our time, we spent hours trying to get it "camp ready" which included the realization that our toilet was broken. I called on Monday June 15th regarding my frustration around this package that we paid for and the fact that they did not deliver. The sales manager said all the right things, agreed, wanted to make it right, blah blah blah. Said he was going to text me his number right after our call and talk to another manager the following day and get back with me on how they could make it right. Today is Friday.... no text, no phone call, nothing. It was a horrible experience from beginning to end. If we were not so hellbent on this particular model, and if it wasn't the only one in the state, we would have walked away. I know for sure we will never go back. read more

Bought a camper from Quietwoods and while our camper was in for warranty work they sold to Kunes. Kunes "finished" the work. A support brace wasn't welded from the factory and instead of taking it somewhere to have it welded, like we were told they were going to do they riveted it. The freezer would go up to 50° after being plugged in for over a month and they stated that was normal. The refrigerator would freeze in the back and be 43° in the front. They stated that that was normal. There was a water on the floor after the slides were put out and they stated that was normal screws were hanging halfway down from the ceiling and they stated that that was normal. They charged $100 to take out two bolts to adjust the weight distribution hitch. I had a $300 credit from Quietwoods and they will not honor it. Even though they had the camper from mid September to the end of April they had to fix things while we were there picking it up even though they said it was ready weeks ago. While we were there, we talked to another customer that stated he was given excuse after excuse why his camper wasn't fixed yet. If I could give them a negative number I would. read more

But when I'm told that if I put a down payment I'm something that I am excited about and would like to reserve, I get very disappointed when I am told 24 hours after the deposit is accepted that the unit unavailable and they are not able to find a comparable unit. Do not purchase an RV from this dealership unless you never plan to use the service department. Once they had our money, they did not fix the items identified at walkthrough on the "I owe you" list before we picked the coach up as promised. I have been lied to repeatedly and management just makes empty promises and never actually checks on the situation, calls back, or gets anything resolved. I have talked to my RV manufacturer who tells me Kunes service department hasn't even contacted them while they feed me the line that it is the manufacturer holding things up. It got so ridiculous they claimed that the Amish are making parts for our air conditioner (Brinkley RV) so that is why it is taking so long?!? read more

We bought our camper there in 2018. Nothing but a bad experience before Kunes bought them. If you are not aware, anything that Kunes owns or buys will be a bad experience. We tried to buy a car from a Kunes car dealership in Sycamore, Illinois recently and there was nothing but lies and deception. It is really too bad because they attempt to show a Christian business model and even play religious music at the dealership. However, the behavior and treatment of their customers, including the lies are anything but what I have seen from true Christian beliefs. I would advise anyone attempting to purchase an RV from Kunes to hire an outside company/person to do a PDI on that unit. We bought from out of state and had to take our unit right to the shop to have everything that was wrong with it when we recieved it fixed. Manufacturers defect or not it is their responsibility to do a pre-delivery Inspection and to take care of those repairs/warranty work before delivery. read more

In for 1 year warranty inspection. No one informed us it usually needs to be left for 24 to 48 hours...to inspect? Then then asked us to sign a liability form because theyve had a rash of catalytic converter thefts ...while people's vehicles are parked in their isolated rural lot w minimal security I imagine, probably left for inspection. Then.... Lots of defensive attitude about no one explaining appointment booking policy to us when we booked appointment, they like the excuse of someone else told you wrong... Ie ...we won't do what you were told on phone because it wasn't me that said it...kids say stuff like someone else did it. Also second time they've used this one on us. ...once they've sold it to you, they're not so nice. Much better attitude pre sale for sure. Also didn't (or initially said )didn't know about an industry wide stove recall...but "looked it up and YES...what do you know. They knew this. Finally, sales staff really shouldn't discuss sales with each other (especially) in a bitchy tone right next to the waiting area .....I might hear what they REALLY think of customers. But that was already confirmed by the attitude I received when I checked in. Very adversarial cover their butt type service AFTER sales. And some service tech guy sits at the counter and REALLY likes to argue w customers. Most important take away...NO SECURITY, YOUR VEHICLES NOT SAFE THERE. (They stated so.) Bought a used trailer a year ago. Have had nothing but problems. They did cover the cost of the part of the floor. However, when we left the unit there over the winter it never got winterized. When we turned the water on it came gushing out from the back of the kitchen faucet that they replaced last year. Some things that went wrong the first year were covered, but now the living room slide leaks on the inside. Nothing but trouble with this unit. They have a checklist but don't believe they actuallly check anything. Never again. Do not buy anything from this comany. I have actuall contaced BBB about them. Everything went well until we sat down with the financing person for our loan. He tried pressuring us for 45 minutes to buy a warranty we didn't want and told us things that weren't true to to get us to do it. I was almost In tears he had me so stressed and confused. we purchased a brand new travel trailer toy hauler from this dealer fall of 2022 has had numerous problems from manufacturing and has been back into the dealership from water tank. That wouldn't stop draining to plugged tank vents tank level indicators for tanks not working electronic problems. Basically backup camera was replaced. Still does not work had this trailer back to the dealership three times since purchase each time they said the problem is fixed. Everything is good I get it Home it's not good they didn't fix a thing. The staff behind the counter is very good at telling you what you want to hear and they're very pleasant but I have no faith in their service technicians. Our Experience was stellar! I'm not even sure where to start!! The sales person was so nice. The care he gave to us was amazing. His attention to detail for what we needed and his help with our trade in was outstanding. They really cared about us. They delivered our new RV to our seasonal campsite and removed our old one. It wasn't an easy job and I totally admit that I'm particular. I give them 10 stars for how they placed our new camper along our deck exactly where we wanted it. The attention was also amazing when setting up the financial side and our added warranty. They even got us set up in the spring of '23 for leveling off the camper after the winter ground settling. We aren't spring chickens any more so it's nice to be taken care of. read more

I want to amend my former review because I did end up getting service through Destinations RV and I don't want to leave a bad review without a follow up. Picking up my camper was a different story from dropping it off. Service was pleasant, and they were able to troubleshoot my propane problem. They had pointed out other potential safety issues which I had them fix, I found the work to be of good quality and the cost was reasonable. I would bump my rating to 3 stars out of five, which looks to be about the average for this establishment. read more

Purchased a trailer from another dealer in 2020. Kunes bought them out and I needed warranty work done through Kunes. Our electrical issue which was essential to travel wasn't done when I brought it in and I had to deal with Christine in Neenah, who wasn't in when I came to pick it up. She was insulting and disrespectful on the phone then called back 3 days later sounding sweet. Parts didn't come in for weeks and I obtained on my own and got someone competent locally to do the work. In short my conclusion is that Kunes was dodging the warranty work they were obliged to do under the purchase and franchise agreements and Christine was the valued employee who did the dirty work. read more

Took my camper into Kunes for a fix and they mentioned I would need to get the camper caulked as it was beginning to wear down. They quoted $300+ for the job so I told them I would bring it in again to get that done once the winter season was done. Just brought the camper in to get it taken care of and, after a short amount of time, they came back to let me know the problem was actually a small tear and they were able to fix it at no charge. I did not purchase my camper from them so didn't expect such amazing customer service. They were kind, informative, but most importantly honest. Will definitely return in the future. read more

Went there for service. Very rude to me on the phone because I didn't buy my camper from them. They told me the soonest they could get me in was two weeks so I set up an appointment for then. When I came to drop my camper off I had no appointment and my name was not in their system. I left the camper there because they said they could squeeze it in. Called two days later and they had no idea who I was. Went and picked it up and will never go there again. Service is zero. read more

Staff was very rude. We secured financing and agreed on a date and time to sign papers. Got a call the next day saying that they sold the camper out from under us. I recommend them to no one. It is a lot of work to secure financing and to have something sold out from under you is terrible business. If I could give negative stars I would. We purchased a 57K 5th wheel camper 2 months ago. We immediately had problems and stopped to see the ales guy to get rectified. He told us flat out he did not want to talk to us or see us again, w had to deal with service dept. After a lot of verbal hauranging they did come to our site and fixe the problems. But now with more problems when I call they tell me to call manufacturer of products on the trailer. They want to get your money, then kiss you off.
