His program isn't about tricks to "beat the system" or "crack the code". It's straight-on work on the academic skills that the SAT tests for. If your child gives honest effort, I can't think of why Ace wouldn't be able to help. And my review wouldn't be complete without mentioning that the teachers are awesome. To top it off, Steve's prices are very reasonable. For the in-person help you get, I'm not sure anyone beats his prices.

We agreed to a certain amount of days and paid a generous hourly rate hoping we could depend on her to get our son caught up over the summer. Unfortunately that was not the case. She changed the schedule multiple times, dropped us all together until summer started, and then once summer did start she canceled multiple times 30 min before our session started. It was becoming difficult because we scheduled our entire day around the session (picking up my son from camp early, ending my work day early for her arrival, etc). When I politely asked for a 2 hour notice before cancelling (which should be the standard) she dropped us all together. No explantation. Just said she is letting us go. Really disappointed.

My 13 year old and 8 year old joined over the summer for both Math & Reading because we wanted to make sure they had a good, strong start to the school year. They had been attending online school during the 2020-2021 school year and felt they had fallen behind. The Kumon program claims that you will see results within 3 months. They were spot on! My kids tested at the start and again after 3 months and the results showed a big improvement! You just need to be very patient- it could be frustrating because the program works by starting kids with the very super basic material and build up their knowledge from there. I absolutely recommend Kumon - particularly this location!

She diagnosed both with vision issues and prescribed eye glasses/prisms. In addition to vision, the Optometrist diagnosed our 5th grader with a very serious brain condition and prescribed a controversial cranial therapy. After many sleepless nights and appointments with Pediatric Ophthalmologists, Pediatrician, and Neurologist, both children were diagnosed with strong vision and our 5th grader was diagnosed with a healthy brain. In the end, our oldest did have challenges with convergence, but this was addressed through exercises completed in home. However, our trust was lost by with the misdiagnosis and manner in which Dr. April Spurling communicated with our family.
