What a good find in OR, right behind Walmart and Home Goods. Prompt, efficient service. Both times, we have ordered to-go and the online ordering system has been down. Upon calling in the order, the pick-up time has been about 30 minutes...short enough to not keel over in hunger and long enough that you know it will be made fresh. The to-go orders are pilled on a table by the entry desk and there are a few benches to wait on. The interior and exterior vibe is a bit random and dated, but the food makes up for it. We will likely stick to to-go. We ordered: -Chicken and Steak Hibachi Dinner: really tasty and well-cooked. We order it without onions and they don't skimp on the zucchini, broccoli, or mushrooms. Great grilled flavor with subtle touch of sesame oil. -Shrimp tempura roll (added avocado): Perfectly cooked and tightly rolled. Avo was a good add! -Dancing Shrimp Roll: tasty combo of ingredients, but moreso a crab roll than a shrimp roll. It had thin slices of shrimp and avo alternating on top of roll. -Sweet potato Roll: Ordered both times and both times undercooked, hard potatoes. Bummer. We will avoid this roll. -New Roll: the spicy crunchy tuna and sauce were unique touches and not too incredibly spicy. Really liked this roll! -Side salad: If you get an entree, it comes with salad. No need to order another. I appreciate that they add both cucumber and carrot. Wish they actually cut up the lettuce instead of a few huge chunks of iceberg. Note that the ginger dressing is tasty but fairly thick and chunky. Depends on your preference. I really appreciate that you can add ingredients to your sushi rolls. I often add cucumber, avocado, and eel sauce to rolls and they are always accurate and tasty. In a city packed with fast food chains and Mexican restaurants, we will come back here often.

My Wife is a huge Hibatchi fan and was craving it tonight. We found Kume on Yelp, liked what the reviews had to say, and decided to try it for ourselves. Although there was a little difficulty (due to differing accents on both our parts) in placing the order over the phone, the employee was about as friendly as a person can be. A genuine care for good customer service really stood out in this quick interaction. The order was ready when they said it would be and the two employees inside the restaurant were just and friendly and pleasant as the guy on the phone. Although this was a take out order I did notice that the atmosphere was nice and the place was spacious and clean. The food smelled delicious riding in the back seat all the way home. Upon unveiling the meal and sinking our teeth into it we could see that this positive experience was gonna continue through the cleaning of the plates. Both my wife and I really enjoyed Kume and immediately placed it in our rotation of food options when anywhere close to Oak Ridge.

Delicious! Great sushi and very very good cooked food too. I love the creativity of the rolls.

Great place. Staff is always very friendly and the food quality is at least consistent. I'll keep eating there occasionally.

Best sushi ever but their rice is extremely dry with no flavor. I also got a side of noodles which was a very big portion and good flavor

Good food for the locale. Would recommend and would return. Haven't tried the sushi, but the bento boxes are adequate.

But the sweet girl taking orders didn't really know what she was doing and put in our order a bit wrong. The couple in front of us had their order messed up too. The interior of the place wasn't that inviting or clean, but we opted to eat in anyway. But IF we go back that won't be happening. My husband got a basic cheese pizza because that's how he judges all pizza places the first time around. It was just OK to him. I got the pickle chips since they were 'breaded in-house' and the BBQ Burger. The pickle chips were so over-seasoned and salty I couldn't even eat them - and I LOVE salt. What a shame. The only redeeming thing was the burger and fries. While the burger didn't have what it was supposed to on it and you don't get the option on the temperature of the meat, it was still a good burger. The fries were also super crispy and fluffy inside. So pretty hit-and-miss for me. I'm going to have to think twice before I go back.

While they DO have hibachi…read moregoodies that can be served on a specialty pizza, note that most of their menu is served as individual, more traditional items (like hibachi, a burger, or pizza...not all meshed together). This place was a bit of a hike for us but so worth it for the delicious pizza. We ordered a pepperoni pizza, garlic knots, and deluxe hibachi that comes with beef, chicken, and shrimp and a side salad and soup. If we were rating this place on the pizza and knots alone-5 stars all day long. The crust is so light, chewy and flavorful. The garlic knots actually remind me of the super unique rolls at the local Brazilian steakhouse. They have an outer chew but the inside is so soft that it almost melts in your mouth. The hibachi was...okay. My first bite of the entire meal was the beef and it was unfortunately so chewy that it was inedible. I crossed my fingers it was just that one piece. Nope. Our family ended up discarding every piece of beef, which was an expensive disappointment. The shrimp and chicken were tasty but overshadowed by the sea of onions and mushrooms. We were grateful for the salad and soup, although we couldn't distinguish what the soup was meant to be. My kiddo asked what the hot, brown salt water was. :-) The ginger salad was iceberg lettuce with a very thick, chunky ginger dressing. If that's your thing, rock on! For hibachi, we will probably stick with Fuji. In general, we will be back for the pizza soon and look forward to trying the burgers, which we've heard are great.

There was even a little robot that delivered some people's drinks across the restaurant. The food was pretty good. I ordered dumplings and spring rolls for appetizers before my noodle bowls and they were okay. The dumplings were kind of dry I guess, and too black so my daughter who normally loves dumplings did not like them. The wrapper of the spring rolls was thicker like an egg roll so it wasn't as light and crispy as the spring rolls I prefer. The popcorn chicken was not super hot when it came out so maybe that's why I don't think it was great. It was a little rubbery and dry. My kids did not like it and just ate the extra plan noodles we got. The ramen was good though, the spicy ramen wasn't too spicy. I could have bumped it up a notch but I was afraid I wouldn't be able to eat it all if I chose the hottest hot so we just got the average to try. Overall this place is near our house and a fun place to sit on and eat so we may be back, but there are better ramen places if you're into just the food or doing take out. I am giving them a 4 because of the ambience being a 5 and the food 3-3.5.

Alright, alright, alright! We found a sushi spot near home -- finally!…read more I genuinely thought we'd tracked down every option in the area, but this one slipped right past me. Maybe "Poke Bowl" in the name threw off my searches -- who knows -- but I'm just glad it finally showed up. It's a small, tucked-away spot in the corner of a strip shopping center, easy to miss if you're not looking for it. Inside, there's a handful of small tables plus mostly counter service, but if you time it right, you can snag a seat at the sushi bar -- it holds maybe 8 to 10 people. And since we're firm believers that sushi night means service, that's exactly where Patrick steered us. He took great care of us all night: walking us through the restaurant's history, offering up solid suggestions, and turning out incredible sushi with genuinely great energy the whole time. Beer's the only drink option here, so if you're after a fancy date night with sake or craft cocktails, you'll want to head further into town. But for a laid-back night with a couple of cold ones, this place absolutely delivers. The sushi itself, though? Fresh, and every single piece was delicious. Honestly, I can't even remember everything we ordered -- most of it was Patrick asking what flavors we liked and just going for it, which is exactly how it should be done. One roll I do remember requesting was the Hardin Valley Roll, and it was a fantastic pick. We'll absolutely be back. And next time I'm craving sushi to go, this is who I'm calling -- no more grocery store sushi for me, ever again.
