Patients can also lose weight and overcome opioid addiction with Carolina Medical Center's help. Dr. Sanjay Kumar began providing high-quality medical care in nephrology and internal medicine in 1993 when he relocated to the Lowcountry from New York. After maintaining a solo practice for six years, Dr. Kumar welcomed Dr. Michael Blubaugh, a board-certified internist, to the team in 1998. This allowed Carolina Medical Center to offer medical care in Colleton County as well as Allendale-Fairfax County, and Hampton County. Then in 2012 they also welcomed Acute Care Nurse Practioner Mrs. Meredith HIpp to the practice. In collaboration with LabCorp, Carolina Medical Center has a convenient, in-house lab for diagnostic testing. Dr. Kumar and Dr. Blubaugh can even attend to their patients at Colleton Medical Center. Thyroid issues, Pituitary tumor, severe adrenal failure and High blood pressure that 2 hospitals…read moreafter 5 days each time could not control so I checked out and saw Dr Sergev the next morning and he gave me a prescription that totally controlled it! I have never seen a doctor as great as he is. He saved my 2 other times! He listened to me talk and tested me about my asthma attacks and discovered the it was caused by my immune system which was destroying my esophagus the my lung doctor never checked for 5 years. The 3rd time he discovered that my adrenal glands had failed and now had caused Conn's Syndrome which was by my electrolytes were out of balances which I am still fighting! This actually is the main cause of my illness! I am still alive at 74 years old! I had started out seeing Dr Joseph Matthew's and he came close to letting me die 6/16/17! I told him over 10 months that I was going to die if he didn't test my adrenals! I had to become very angry and he finally checked my ACTH again and told me that I was trying to live on fumes! So after that he refused to ever see me again! So I'm still living because of Dr Olin Sergev MD!
