Everything happened fast..I received some bad news about needing a thoracic surgeon on a Friday…read moreafternoon..did some research online and chose Dr. Roberts for my surgeon as I was too nervous a driver to drive alone to downtown MUSC where I was referred to...I was confident in his credentials and experience to handle my rather difficult situation. I believe there may have been an assistant surgeon as well, but I was not advised of his name and I was out before reaching the or. I was conveniently able to book an online appt. that Tuesday and was in surgery within 48 hrs. at Trident Hospital which is very close to my home and convenient for my son from out of town to travel back and forth from my home where he had my pets to care for. I received excellent care in this life threatening situation...the chest scar doesn't look like it will be as bad as I thought. For what was involved, i felt relatively little pain afterwards. I'm getting by on just some tylenol. The office staff, both admin. & physician assistant are very professional, but friendly....wait times are not long.. I don't care to have to visit them again in the future, but I will if I have to.. feeling grateful!

The team is warm, professional, and very efficient, and you can tell they truly know what they're doing. I've had several treatments here--Botox, microneedling, Aerolase, laser hair removal, and a DiamondGlow facial with dermaplaning--and every single one has delivered amazing results. Everything is performed with precision and care, and the appointments are always smooth and comfortable. As someone local who's tried multiple medspas, this is the one that stands out. I'll absolutely keep coming back.

If I could give zero stars, I would. My experience with Sweetgrass Plastic Surgery -- specifically…read moreDr. Schrimph -- has been nothing short of traumatic, disappointing, and completely unacceptable. I underwent a brachioplasty here with the expectation of a professional standard of care and the improved appearance I was promised during my consultation. Instead, I was left with months of open wounds, pain, complications, and virtually no meaningful follow-up or concern from Dr. Schrimph. On my last in person visit, Dr. Schrimpf came into the office and did not even walk over to visibly look at my arms. Told me people with fair skin and light-colored eyes "tend to take longer to heal" however I have never experienced healing issues with other medical procedures. Despite contacting them repeatedly and returning for visits, the issues were brushed off, leaving me to deal with prolonged healing and avoidable suffering. I have photos showing my gaping wounds, inflammation, and areas that remained unhealed for months. And the end result? Sagging skin and highly visible scarring -- the exact opposite of what I was assured before surgery. I formally requested a full refund in writing, outlining the complications, lack of follow-up, and the unacceptable surgical results. That letter asked for a response within ten business days, and they didn't even bother to acknowledge it. No call, no email, no letter. Nothing. All I wanted was my money back. They show no regard for basic integrity. I entered this procedure with trust. I believed the expertise and assurances I was given. Instead, I was left physically and emotionally distressed with results that look worse than before, and I paid $9,550 for it. If you are considering a procedure at this clinic, I strongly recommend that you look elsewhere. My experience was preventable, mishandled, and deeply disappointing, and no patient deserves this. BTW.... Dr. Schrimpf has since left Sweetgrass and per their customer email, "no longer practicing in the Charleston area".

I took a little time to review this office. I saw Dr. Beatty two times back in 2022. She…read moredisregarded my health issues numerous times and even stated I was a mental case and needed to go get help. I had a severe case of BII at the time related to my silicone implants and was having a plethora of health issues. All of which she just blew off. The last two years I have been healing and my health has drastically improved. I wonder how many other people she has told that removing their implants would not better their health. Quite negligent if you ask me. I had a plethora of cysts in my breasts and in my armpits which are all gone now after two years of healing. I found it quite ironic that she told me to not remove foreign objects from my body, but she does mastectomies on transgender people. I know we are limited here on good care in this area, but I would recommend you go somewhere else with more integrity. Thank God, I did not listen to her advice and keep those implants in my body.

Breast care is not always an easy thing to deal with but they handle it will professionalism and help the patient be at ease with whatever is going on. I do miss Dr. Fiorini deeply, but I have received great care since she left the practice from Dr. Beatty and the NP's. I trust them with my care being that I have to go for early prevention. They are great about getting back with you if they are needed outside of an appointment through the fairly new portal they have started using. I have recommended this practice numerous times when people ask where to go to for issues or even if they just need a mammogram. Breast health is so very important! Be pro active!

Of course, I wasn't thrilled that I had to stop running since this injury could get much worse. I was so impressed at how efficient this office is - I was in and out within an hour. I was expecting to have to wait a little while to be seen, but this place ran very smoothly. I'll go back in about a month to see how my ankle is healing up!

Only to be never seen by the doctor only PA she has tried stuff for infection ..and now this last time again still not seeing the doctor. She wanted to get a mri because did not get one before surgery and some cream . For a minute I agreed but then thought about it because the amount of Tylenol to control pain is bad for me and not being able to see the doctor decided to find some new help . Wanted to update and edit since I went back and visited the summary which was a complete untruthful statement..Have had throat cancer with no voice box so I record everything for my wife to hear just easier that way and it sure doesn't match our recording nor did she not put the mri and prescription order in like we discussed they have been calling and texting After looking at reviews ran across a review not even 13 days ago of the same Dr. guess I'm not the only one recently with problems seems to be a trend

This is my 2nd major injury in which I resorted to getting treatment from Lowcountry Orthopedics…read more I am now a patient of Dr. Johanesmeyer. His staff is friendly, compassionate, and will go the extra mile to assist you with all of your needs and concerns. After my visit to the emergency room, I made an appointment to see Dr. Johanesmeyer. He saw my X-Rays and we discussed his plan of action has including Ankle repair surgery, fitting me with splints, boots, and physical therapy. I have been prescribed pain medication to hold me over until the surgery. He did advice that due to my multiple broken bones, i will experience arthritis. 3/29 @ 6am I underwent Open reduction and internal fixation (ORIF) is a type of surgery used to stabilize and heal a broken bones. In my case, I had 6 plus broken bones. 2 weeks later I had my post-op appointment. X-rays were taken and I waited for the doctor. Upon removal of my cast and bandages We discovered extensive swelling along with monstrous looking fracture blisters. I was in total shock. Dr. Johanesmeyer Explained to me what fracture blisters were and how to treat them. He also Explained the Titanium hardware in my foot ( I nearly fainted). He went over the process of the surgery along with the incisions he made around the fracture blisters and why. My stitches are neat, and the incisions were all in straight lines. I must say he did a wonderful job. Dr.Johanesmeyer advised me to return in a week to see if the swelling goes down enough to remove the stitches and fit me for a stabilizing boot. He also provided me with pain medication and Gabapentin for my burning, tingling, ice picks, and cold nerve pain. 1.) Office Staff : 5 2.) Location: 5 3.) Since I am post-op the office visit fees are waived for 3 months. This is a plus because I had to meet my deductible in order to get the surgery. I am looking forward to recovering from this injury and getting on with the rest of my life through Dr.Johanesmeyer treatment plan. Before scheduling, I was told my records needed to be reviewed first, which I understood and sent over. I initially misspelled the email address but corrected it shortly after. During my follow-up phone call with Stacey, I was trying to better understand why I was being referred elsewhere instead of scheduling directly for imaging. Unfortunately, the conversation became unnecessarily tense and dismissive. I felt spoken to in a passive-aggressive and condescending manner while asking questions about the process. I understand medical offices are busy and stressful environments, but professionalism and patience matter, especially when patients are already confused or dealing with health concerns. People make mistakes, ask questions, and need clarification. The way staff communicate can greatly impact someone's experience. I hope the practice takes patient communication seriously moving forward, because no patient should leave a call feeling belittled for trying to understand their care process.
