If you're looking for an expert, truly private tour of the Riviera, look no further than Kultours Private Tours and it's owner, Ingrid S. My wife and I just returned from a week on the Riviera and were privileged to enjoy Ingrid's spirit of adventure, joie de vivre, and cleverness in coming up with fascinating places you've never heard of.
We challenged Ingrid to impress us with something new and different, not an easy task given we and our friends have been lucky enough to spend time on the Riviera every couple of years since 1998. Sure enough, Ingrid delivered in spades.
Ingrid took us to "the other side of our Riviera," creating a totally delightful day among the hills, canyons and "mountain" tops in the lower Alps, destinations difficult, if not impossible, to reach without a car or by using public transit. It may not be seaside, but you can see the Mediterranean from where Ingrid will take you.
In a delightful eight hours, we hit the street markets of Valbonne - I had my first taste of socca and loved it - wending our way upwards along winding mountain roads to the small village of Gourdon, where we browsed its specialties, including crystal, lavender/products, linens and ceramics. We reveled in the view of the Gourge du Loup, which literally took our breath away, even if there hadn't been hang gliders launching themselves off nearby hillsides. We had a fantastic lunch in a tiny restaurant in the mountains - I had a veal stew that was outstanding - ending our day in Tourettes sur Loup amid the charming stone houses dating to the 1500s. Of course we stopped for coffees throughout the day and Ingrid's knowledge of the history and her narrative were fascinating.
We value our dear and good friend on the Riviera who just happens to conduct outstanding tours that are unique and fascinating. I don't care how well you think you know the Riviera, trust me, Ingrid knows more and knows it better. read more
