It is definitely worthy of your time…read more There are dozens of beautiful paintings from the 18th and 19th centuries and one triptych that is new. A new triptych in an old cathedral? How could that be?? Yet there it was and it was gorgeous. Painted by Hugo Bogo and installed in May 2019. The chapel had burned and they needed to put new painting there. Such a sad story but the result was new art! Be sure to have an ice cream in the square and stop in.

We learned the hard…read moreway that there was an elevator we can take (we had an umbrella stroller with a baby in it) so we climbed the stairs and held onto her stroller at the same time, going up and down the stairs. Then we learned once we got to the bottom, that there's an elevator!!! Oh well, next time. I'll be back here next month so if we have a chance to stop in again, we'll remember to use the elevator this time around. Come here when the sun is setting, we went earlier in the day and it was pretty hot, even though it was foggy. Just be careful not to stay too late, they close the gates on you without checking.
