This is a family owned business that takes great pride in what they offer. From concept into design and our finished space it was so easy with their process. We met several times to plan what we wanted. The team of employees were great to work with given we needed a lot of help with design. We were than sent to various vendors who they work with. Working off our agreed upon budget each had a price range for us. You can stay within that or go above, it's your budget. Than we had a kickoff meeting where we were introduced to our head carpenter Phil. Work began and the amount of care for our home, lifestyle and the craftsmanship was evident from day one. We are now using our completed bathroom and every day we are so excited. The attention to detail and building exactly what we wanted was unmatched. Pricing was very reasonable. Scheduling was easy - Adam came out to do our measurements on a Saturday which helped accommodate my work schedule. I had given him a general idea over the phone of what I was looking for and he brought many samples for me to choose from. He offered recommendations based on durable and ease to clean along with maintenance and warranty information (having a Golden Retriever and wanting light colored carpet, I wanted to make sure we were covered and the carpet cleaned up well!) We ultimately decided to go with the higher priced per square foot carpet which was still less then the other estimate we received from another company! The carpet installers were friendly, professional, did a perfect job - I honestly am not even sure they stopped for a break! They removed our old carpet, moved our larger pieces of furniture and cleanup everything before they left. Would recommend A&E to anyone I know who is looking for flooring. We are looking forward to working with them on our first floor wood installation as our next project!

I was going to pay them $950 for the estimates. I was supposed to hear from them within a few days to make the payment. It's been over two weeks, and I haven't heard from them. I found another company to provide the estimates for half the cost and even appear up to two times in court to back up the estimates for no extra charge. I was afraid the estimates from Harth Builders would have been overblown and caused me a problem in court anyway.

She was also honest when I asked her to help me make certain choices where I was indecisive, and I appreciated that very much. Our carpenters were excellent, highly skilled, and efficient. The project manager was there when we had questions and worked hard to coordinate subcontractors to complete the project with minimal downtime. Subcontractors were also great. Unlike another reviewer here, my neighbor just commented that Harth was very good about not disturbing the neighborhood, which he appreciated. Is Harth more expensive than other contractors? Maybe, but in my experience you truly do get what you pay for and what we got is exceptional.

Anthony came over late in the day, after working all day at another job, far away from me, I was so appreciative that Anthony went out of his way to help me especially since it was a small job and very last minute. He was able to get us on his calendar in a great time frame for the two day project and assisted us with choosing the best color grout. Him and his assistant were very careful to put down protective mats/cloths to keep our house clean during the project, including our garage where the tile was cut. Just as importantly, LBK employees are kind and conscientious. They sent us gift baskets both when they heard about a death in our family and when they found out we were pregnant with our first child. And last week, when we had a leak that damaged the kitchen ceiling, they came out immediately (within 1 hour of us calling) to investigate. Even though it turned out that the leak was coming from our bathroom and was unconnected to the work they had done last summer, LBK still covered the repair of the kitchen ceiling, drywall, and painting under the warranty. Jose, our project manager, was instrumental in getting this done. Less than a week later, it was good as new. Even from the start of "sales" process, no one ever pressured us, and the team was completely understanding of and worked within our budget. The design process was really easy and enjoyable - LBK really got to know us and suggested designs and items for the spaces that really fit with our personalities and themes. Once that was done, the team was clear about when the project would get started and overall timelines. The Project Manager and on-site team were absolutely wonderful - they were always respectful of the space and our family when we were in and out and by cleaning up at the end of the day. The head carpenter for each of the jobs (kitchen and master bath) also took our space and family's tastes in mind for individual recommendations when looking at final fittings/hardwares, etc. Even all the individual contractors they had come in for the work (electricians, plumbers, etc.) were all very considerate.
