After a deer in the headlights look, she did not offer any solutions to make me happy after the money I spent. In fact her first comment was "well I cant take apart the framing to make it smaller." Her demeanor was not warm from the beginning and certainly wasn't warm when I mentioned I wasn't 100% happy. I cant express how much customer service means in our town, there are plenty of other places to support and even the smallest gesture matters. Do not recommend.

A customer service representative--who claimed to be a manager--was loudly yelling at a customer at the checkout counter. The customer remained calm and polite, yet the manager continued berating her, calling her "horrible" and "disrespectful" in front of everyone. Regardless of the situation, no customer deserves to be screamed at in public. This created an uncomfortable scene for everyone in the store and reflected extremely poorly on the professionalism of the staff. I believe the name on the manager's tag was Sara. I fully understand that not all customer interactions are easy, but customer service requires patience and professionalism--especially from management. This experience left such a negative impression that we chose to leave and will likely be shopping at Joann's from now on, which offers many of the same products. I believe in the philosophy that "the customer is always right"--even if they're not. If someone isn't able to handle customer service responsibilities without resorting to yelling, they shouldn't be in that role. I cannot recommend this Michaels location based on today's experience.

If you are planning on doing an addition, do yourself a favor and hire Erik Foster and his crew…read more  My wife and I are the type to tackle our own projects, but when we decided to add 800 square feet to our existing 1,300 square foot home we knew we needed professionals.  After many unfortunate events with another subcontractor, Erik Foster crossed our project's path and was a breath of fresh air. To meet someone in the trade that knew what they were doing, took pride in their work, and communicated up front any issues or decisions that had to be made was what we were looking for.  Erik and his crew took over our stalled addition; they fixed the existing floor framing, laid the sub-floor, raised the walls and trusses, sided the addition, sheeted the roof, and dry walled the interior.  They also installed all the new windows, hung the exterior doors, and installed the faux batten boards for the entire house exterior with meticulous detail. Erik took over a broken project and made it right for my family and that in itself says it all.  His crew hustled on the job site even when nobody was looking and showed up to work on time with a smile on their faces and looked you in the eye when communicating.  With an addition there is always surprises and Erik was upfront with what to expect and more importantly dealt with the unexpected professionally.  There was a lot of our project that my wife and I ended up doing ourselves, some planned and some not, but Erik was a great resource in pointing us in the right direction when we had questions.  Erik and his crew are a refreshing reminder of how people are supposed to be; hard working, take pride in their work, do what they say, and respect their customers as people just like them.

The response, "No." "so it's 7:50 PM and the store closes at 8 PM and you won't hold the items in the bag till morning? " No." ... Well, I know Hobby lobby doesn't like certain types of people, but I guess we can add the local animals in need to the list. Nevertheless, I went down to TJ Maxx & doubled the budget. If they only knew my locally owned multimillion dollar company in Bend uses Hobby lobby for all of their marketing events throughout the year and have spent thousands upon thousands ... Not anymore.
