Unreliable for time sensitive needs…read more Review for Elegance Cleaners I've been a customer here on and off for years, but after two bad experiences with the I won't be returning. Most recently, I dropped off a jacket on August 25 with a pickup date of September 2. When I went in on September 3--eight days later--it wasn't ready and couldn't be found. I was told it might be ready by 6 PM, but I needed it early the next morning. Previously, I brought a jacket in for alterations and the work wasn't done on time. The hems were rushed and poorly finished, and they couldn't handle the tailoring I needed. This, also, was brought in with ample time and needed desperately. For $14 to clean a jacket, I expected reliability and quality service. Unfortunately, this cleaner hasn't delivered either.

I brought in the dress I wore to our daughter's wedding. It had a noticeable stain on it, but the…read moredress was custom made and was silk, so I was very concerned that the treatment to get the stain out might result in the dress being ruined. Tenise helped guide me. The first cleaning application did not get the stain completely out. I did not want to sign a damage waiver for a more aggressive approach, so Tenise offered to try again to get the spot out without taking a more aggressive treatment. The stain came out! Thank you Tenise and Fabricare! This is not the first time Fabricare has worked its magic on a stain. A year or two ago, a bottle of red wine was knocked into my lap, and all over a white silk blouse. While I had little hope they could get the stain out, it came back as white as the day it was made - no sign of red wine anywhere.

I have never posted anything like this before. Usually if I have a bad experience with a local…read moremerchant, I speak with them about it and then decide whether or not to continue patronizing them. However, I had such a bad experience yesterday, I had to let everyone know. Last week I dropped off some shirts, slacks and sports coat at Frederick's dry cleaners on Mamaroneck Avenue in White Plains. I have used them for many years even though they sometimes have come up short on execution, in my opinion. I told the person there that one of my shirts need a cuff button replaced and that I needed everything back on (last) Thursday because I was going away Friday morning - I dropped off on Monday to make sure they had time. When I went there late Thursday afternoon, I was told that nothing would be in before Friday afternoon, as that was what was put in their system as the date wanted. Having returned, I went there yesterday to pick everything up. When I got there, they told me that they could not clean one of my shirts as it required dry cleaning. This was a cotton shirt that they have cleaned many times i the past. The person I spoke with yesterday agreed that there was nothing to indicate "dry clean only" and had no explanation as to why it wasn't done. I also saw that the cuff button on the shirt was not replaced even though my receipt showed a charge for a button replacement. I then noticed that my sports coat had a 1-2 inch mark on the sleeve from a marker or a pen. The person there called the store manager to let them know that I was extremely unhappy with the service. She then gave the phone to me so I could speak with the manager, who then told me that she didn't want to hear what I had to say and hung up on me. The person in the store called her back and told me that the manger refused to speak with me. Needless to say, I will NEVER patronize Cleaning By Frederick and recommend that no one else does.

All of the clothing was very well taken care of and well packaged. The total bill came out to be $26, so I was relatively pleased. I certainly would come back here if in the area again, hopefully they stay in business because the store front looks quite dated and the location is awkwardly placed squeezed into the middle of a strip mall.
