Raised in Alabama. Living in Oregon. I don't often find myself near a Krystal's. Superior to White Castle in every way...they aren't the same! I find myself craving these little sliders ever so often with no outlets nearby. However, every once in a while, I find myself in a region that might have them and although there are only 3 in Florida, there is one near my son's campus...well, nearish...now I have a reason to come see him more often :) I don't understand why everyone feels compelled to give such low scores to fast food joints. I get it...they are run down, they are greasy, employees are rude...but employees change out every 6 months, the greasy food is why we are here, it's fast...other things suffer. They operate on tight margins...they get used heavily...of course the building is going to look a bit used. At the end of the day, I'm here for those greasy little sliders. My experience was good, not great, not poor but good...at the end of the day, every fast-food joint is worth 3 stars. I don't think anyone expects more than that...nor are they hardly ever as bad as 2 stars...even if this is the only option for 100 miles. read more

It's delicious!! No pickles no onions, just tiny cheeseburgers with only condiments. Make sure to tip your service workers. They don't make enough to take your sass or misspelled reviews. Oh and add the chocolate shake. If you're going through the drive-thru drunk as a skunk, well that's not smart. read more

I am not really one to be in the habit of checking in or reviewing fast food places but I occasionally do when it's a location that we can't get around Tampa Bay or that there are only 1 or 2 spots left open close by. I mean, they are generally franchised restaurants so giving one props when they desire it is a good thing or vs versa. I believe this is the only Krystal Burger left open in the area and I only get it when I am way down on Hillsborough, which isn't often but we were on our way back from Busch Gardens. I personally think they are yummy, maybe a guilty pleasure. read more

I'm convinced this Krystal is a front for something else for the owner. The food is horrible! The customer service is non existent! They committed card fraud with online orders. The reviews tells it all! Yet the owner does nothing but give an AI generated response. There is absolutely no reason why this place should still be open! read more

Krystal - My Doordash receipt showing $0.00 for my food and only the $3.00 delivery fee. I never seen a receipt like this. - Fast Food Near Me - Tampa, Florida

It was about 11pm. Stopped there to get food to go. Where you order from is behind the menu board, Could'nt really hear the guy. Ordered and it came to 19.25. It took at minimum 15 minutes to get it. The food was terrible. The sliders were barely warm and it tasted very old. The bacon didn't taste much like bacon. I had 4 ate 1 and half before I gagged. The fries were limp but were hot. The only good part of this was, the cocolate shake. Avoid this place. read more

Krystal is my guilty pleasure. There aren't many of these left and its a shame. Usually when im in the area and I have any hint of hunger ill stop by here. We'll this morning was one of those times. 8am and I ordered some krystal burgers with cheese. They always come out hot and fresh. The lady working the drive through was super nice too. Yes it isnt gourmet food but I realy like it. It reminds me of late nights in my 20s when we would stop in after having a great time drinking. read more

Just wow, if your the owners and wonder why your not making the money you should we placed an order wait over 25 minutes. The so called manager comes out and says I don't want to serve you these burgers I need to make them again. Are you f.. kidding me your other employe was smokin up a storm in her car. Manager claims she can't do it all by her self because her worker was on break. Our very last time there never again. This is t the first time we have waited for ever . Ordered online now have to dispute the charge thanks for Nothing you really suck!! Think it's time for you to hire new workers and managers. Your stats are way down. read more

I love Kristal sliders when I can get them but I don't know the menu when I showed up today the menu screen was off and there was no way for me to see it other wise the food was hot and good even the server Celina was nice and helpful hope that the management can fix those small issues. read more

I see the Karen's are still everywhere in FL. The reviews I read were wild. Some people are unsatisfiable. We hit the drive through and were greeted by the most jovial upbeat voice you could imagine at a fast food place. We ordered the 12 pack combo with 2 drinks and fries + tots. The silver haired lady at the end of the mic was even sweeter in person. They had our entire order to us in 3 mins. The food was hot and fresh. The burgers were amazing!! I highly suggest you add ketchup to them to go with the mustard. The inside was being wiped down by an employee as we waited for our food to be brought to our car so I'd say it was clean. All and all a great experience and I'll go out on a limb and tell you the food was better tasting than White Castle! read more

I don't know what happened, but this used to be my favorite place to eat now whenever I go for some odd reason the onions look like someone peed on them. I waited 15 minutes in the parking lot for my food. It came to me ice cold. the service is absolutely ridiculous. They did not get my order correct and then had the audacity to ask me for my phone number. This is not the same krystals that I remember this place went downhill. The fries are terrible. The service is horrible. I don't ever in my life. Go back again. Thanks for ruining it for me. read more

I always love a good Krystal burger. The food was as usual, but the staff were a bit rude.

Needed a Krystal burger 'fix'. Very typical of customer service these days, no 'please', no 'thank you', couldn't even keep his pants pulled up. read more

We decided to go out of our way to get something from Krystal, and what a waste of gas. This was a very disappointing experience. My husband asked for something with no onions (a common request that's typically handled fine at most places) but she had to respond with "I guess I'll try to scrape them off." What a way to clue us in that these aren't being prepared fresh. They had no ice cream, which was a bummer because my daughter was looking forward to it. It was about a ten minute wait in the drive-thru before anyone even took our payment with no one else ahead of us and only one car behind us. Another 5 minutes to get our food. I haven't even gotten to eating the food. For one, one Chik was missing from the order. The Chiks were not bad, and I really liked the Corn Pup. However, the Krystals - I've never seen such a variety in meat color. Some were browned, some were grayed - and the color had nothing to do with the taste. No matter the color, they were all pretty disappointing. The regular and chili cheese pups were awful. I don't typically spit food out, but I definitely spit out my bite with the regular pup. My husband had the chili cheese and said the chili tasted weird and was very chewy. He also had the tots and they tasted off. All in all, a pretty poor experience and I remember enjoying Krystal in the past. We likely won't be back. read more

I had no idea that Krystal was like a White Castle. I associated them with a Checker or Rally's but it's definitely not. They serve mini burgers and other fast food. We chose to dine in but it was too small so we just ordered to go. Staff was nice, place seemed clean. Original Krystal Burger: 1/5, it was very bland. Meat did not look like meat, more like bologna. Bacon Krystal Burger: 1/5, tasted like the original but with bacon. Fries: 3/5, very decent and good fries! Chicken Wings: 3/5, it was good, better when cooled down and there is a little spice but not too overbearing. I wish I could have liked this place because I like White Castle but unfortunately, it was a no for me. read more

Save yourself! If you want sliders, get them frozen at Publix or drive over to Orlando to the White Castle. In fact driving to the White Castle might be quicker than going through a Krystal drive-thru anytime. With the low volume of business they do, compared to Chick-fil-a, their ability to find sub par employees is astounding. Krystal, where mediocrity rules! read more

After saying that I'm going to try it last year, I finally went there today. Too me it's similar to White Castle in New York. I got the 12 pack of regular hamburgers. A drink and an order of fries. There fries were good. Hamburgers were good too. I went thru drive thru, because it was just starting lunch time there was a line, maybe 4 cars in front of me. It moved. I definitely will come back. I didn't go inside so I can't say but it didn't look busy inside. read more

I sat at the drive through and no one responded. I assumed it was closed because there was no cars in the parking lot. Turns out the employees inside just didn't give damn about serving customers. Cool, I won't be back. read more

I really wish I could give them a better score but this had to be movie like scene of one of the worst experiences of a fast restuarant. (11/29/19) Why the front windows are all frosty like they haven't been clean in years? Why the "manager" came from the kitchen area stating "I'm tired of being sick" in which he was sick and coughing. He stated that he was working drive thru and was not touching the food. I still asked to "why are you at work if you are sick?" (No answer) The cashier (Christina) was not pleasant either. She took my order in an unpleasant tone and nothing she said was in inviting. The cook in the back could see I was upset at this moment and started to clean the cooking area to fix my order. My order was correct but I really concerned for other customers at this point. Overall, this location really need to work customer service skills, health issues, and cleanliness of the restaurant. This company has been around too long for it to not know what is considered great customer service. I really hope management or ownership reads this for major improvements and concerns for their customers. read more

Krystal - Fast Food Near Me - Tampa, Florida

I keep giving this place a chance it is absolutely terrible. Last 5 times food has been cold with an insane wait time. This last time specifically, the wait was 45 minutes long I ordered 5 burgers all with no mustard, they all came with mustard, and they were all stone cold. What was the 45 minute wait for? I don't know but please take my advice and do not got here!! read more

The burger was good but whoever made the burger kinda just slapped it together. I didn't want any issues because I would like to return so I didn't say anything. The restaurant was not busy. Just empty at the time and more care could have went into the assembly of my humble burger. My wife asked for a drink and got something different in return. read more

This is the last Krystal burger place in the area and doubt this place will be open much longer. . The employees dgaf who is in earshot of their convos, they ignore you until they don't. Then order after already waiting 10. And now it will be 20 minutes for 8 cb and 2 tater tots to go. No one else waiting , maybe 2 cars in drive thru. Walked out. Never again. Please bring White Castle here to Tampa read more

Bought a 12 pack of them steamed burgers with cheese and I don't know what to do with the other 10. I haven't had Krystal before so I wasn't sure what it was supposed to taste like but I knew it wasn't right when my dogs would or eat them. Either they steamed them in septic tank water or they fried them burgers in yogurt oil lol. Either way the bag of burgers is making my car stink smh. Some things aren't worth the experience. Damn the commercials, SKIP this food experience! read more

Horrible customer service!!!! Always a long wait 0f 20 mins or more regardless if they have any other business.

For the positive, the people working there were friendly. The service was very slow. The inside was so dirty it was disgusting. The hamburgers look like they've been sitting out for a week. Krystal's have definitely been declining. I'm sorry but I'm done eating there read more

Krystal - Purely disgusting old hamburger. - Fast Food Near Me - Tampa, Florida

STAY AWAY FROM KRYSTAL ON 2625 WEST HILLSBOROUGH AVENUE IN TAMPA AT ALL COST! If I could give a -5 stars for Krystal I would. I placed a mobile order for some Krystal burgers and tots and I got short changed when I checked my order as I was missing the tots. This is an order that I paid for on the Krystal app! Then the counter staff claims that she did get my order for the Krystal burgers but not the tots. I showed the counter staff my order but they were falsely claiming going by the receipt and at the same time trying to gyp me out of items that I ordered and paid for but not getting them. What the counter staff tried to do is commit credit card fraud, especially when a mobile order is placed. Luckily I got my complete order and I was on my way. I like Krystal and their famous burgers. But I will NOT be returning to the Krystal at 2625 West Hillsborough Avenue in Tampa in the foreseeable future. read more

I love a good slider. Since there is no White Castle in Tampa Bay- Krystal Burgers is it.

Nice, open late, it's fast food. Just go in knowing it's fast food. The staff was nice, service was quick.

Waited over 20 mins! 4 car behind got their food before I even received my order . fries were old and refried disgusting.

Try to place order and they didn't listen just pull up they said. Had pickles when I said no pickles. All three sliders had soggy bread like if it was dipped in water. Lady forgot she gave me a drink and handed me another drink after 3 min of waiting. First and last time I'll eat here. read more

My doctor's office is close by. Every time I went it was not lunch time. Finally, my husband made this a special stop when we were returning from a trip. I grew up eating Krystals, at least once a week. I love their cheese Krystals and fries. I grew up in Memphis, then moved to Ohio & California, no Krystals. So during any visit home, I had to eat there! At this location, service was a tad slow, staff were friendly, and food was just what I remembered. Yes, not the greatest burger I have ever eaten, but exactly what I wanted, and what it should be. It is a shame this is the only one in the city and I live in the Carrollwood area, but I will make special trips to get them! read more

When your flight arrives in the evening and you have to drive an hour and half to get to your destination and its 10pm, and your starving...you stop at Krystal. Well, we stopped at Krystal because I've never experienced a Krystal burger before and it's open late. The good: Drive thru. My krystals were plain with cheese. Burger (slider) reminded me of White Castle. Meat (or what was in between the bun) tasted identical to a slider. If I didn't know we were at Krystal, could not tell the difference. What I did notice was bigger bun. Soft, but more of it compared to WC. I liked the chicken quality more than WC. Fries were decent. The not so good: Guy screwed up our order. We were missing loaded fries and another slider. We were full, so no big loss. No outdoor seating. Menu is smaller. Chicken, double sliders, corn pups. Don't remember all the choices, but I'm a creature of variety and my head wasn't spinning like it usually does with a ton of choices. In this case, this was a good thing. Not a greasy slider like WC can be and sure, sometimes you long for some grease. I prefer white castle just because the bun doesn't take over like Krystal. You get that craveable, processed meaty WC bite..oh yeah! And..let's not forget WC's are steamed! Krystal hit the spot and I no longer have to guess what I've been missing. read more

Wow! Where do I start? If I could give 0 stars, I would. The place looked filthy when I went in. Poor lighting (probably helps to hide the filth). Everything was antiquated and several of the drink fountain nozzles were broken. The service is non-existent. Probably why I was the only person there and there was nobody in the drive thru. I stood there for about 3 min. 4 people walked by me 7 times and nobody ever said a word. Honestly I believe there was racial tension there. If you are white or Hispanic, I would not eat here. Probably spit in your food. Another reviewer mentioned the DGAF factor. I couldn't have said it better myself. If you are black and like eating in filthy, run down, poorly lit restaurants with employees who suffer from DGAF? Then this is the place for you. Will never go back. Which is (I'm sure) what they want. But it all worked out in the end. McDonalds didn't mind taking my money. Eat at your own risk. read more
