I am happy with how the company quickly improved its work. Original review (12/16/24): I hired Balanced Garage Doors to replace two old wooden garage doors. The price of the job and the quality of the doors are decent. However, the quality of the work leaves something to be desired. Our installer left a decent mess after the work was completed, including glass shards from the old garage door windows. I also found one of the siding panels out of place. The installer came to fix the siding today. Regardless, the quality of work seems poor, considering I paid $3600 for the job.

Aaron Overhead Door worked on my garage door before so it's great to know they still maintain the quality in their work. The only small issue I had was the limit of their inventory. I was told that there's only one option in stock for the garage door size of my house. My garage is the normal 2 doors residential type. The inspector said if I want to see more options, the wait might be 16 weeks which is a very long time. So it feels like there's no other choice. Again, the service, the communication, and the products are all great. I just hoped that for something as big budget as garage door, there would be more options to choose.

It's easy to give a company 5 stars after a smooth initial experience. But what TRULY defines a…read morebusiness is how they stand behind their products when things go wrong ...that's where integrity shows. I wasn't planning to use Southern Creations for the premium garage door in my custom build. I already had a competitive quote for the same door & Liftmaster motor from a highly regarded company. My builder convinced me otherwise, saying Southern Creations would match the price & that he'd used them on every build. Only after installation did I learn how they "matched" the price ...by quietly substituting an inferior Genie motor with plastic parts without my knowledge or consent. And I was charged $925 for it - nearly double the retail cost. Within six months the Genie needed repairs. Just after the 12-month mark, the motor unsurprisingly failed again. Southern Creations' response? At first it was "too bad you're out of warranty" - until I contacted Genie myself to dispute that. Now it's pay $1,050 for the Liftmaster motor I had originally requested. TWO motors, over TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS, in less than TWO YEARS. That's their solution. Their website claims they "go the extra mile to stand by their work and their promise." That hasn't been my experience nor that of my two neighbors, who also had to replace their Genie motors installed by Southern Creations within two years. Integrity isn't about what you say on your website. It's about what you do when no one's watching. And on that front, Southern Creations fell far short.
