They were professional, polite, Courteous in regard to my time and got my leaky axle gasket repaired in less than three hours. Dave our driver was there close to the time they said he would be and both he and the dispatcher Ryan were very reassuring and had great communication with us. Dave took great care in hooking up our large Ram 2500 and you could tell he knew what he was doing and had done it many times before. We had a great ride home with him and great conversation and he dropped off our truck perfectly where we wanted it. Hopefully we don't need a tow again but if we do, we will be calling Iron Horse! My boyfriend and I came in with our Toyota Corrola after going to the dealer with our issue first…read more It seems that the metal pipe connecting our catalytic converter to our muffler had rusted through. The dealer said we had to replace both the converter and muffler which was estimated to be $2100. The dealer then suggested we "sell the car for parts." Since the fix would be more than what the car itself is worth. My boyfriend and I were really panicking since we were only in town for a week and did not want to buy a new car or pay that much for a fix. Thankfully we found The Muffler Bandit and after a short phone call, he told us to come in, so he could see what was really happening. The mechanic elevated our car up and showed us exactly where the pipe was rusted and broken off. He explained exactly what he could do to fix it and why he was confident the fix would work. We went for it. After an hour (which my boyfriend and I walked a block to eat at a very good diner), our car was running perfectly. Just like normal and it only cost $65 to fix. The next week we drove from Missoula to California with no issues. Four weeks after the fix, we drove to Illinois. Still perfect. Five weeks after we drove all the way to southern Florida and we have had absolutely no problems. We have driven over 5,000 miles in the past 3 months since going to the Muffler Bandit and getting this (less than a $100) fix. We couldn't be happier with how well this mechanic assessed our problem, showed us the problem so we could understand it ourselves, communicated our options, gave us time to make our decision, executed his fix perfectly, saved us thousands of dollars AND the fix has lasted through a brutal roadtrip. Best place in Missoula for exhaust issues. Highly recommended.
