This review is long overdue.... Dr. Chacin and his staff are wonderful. I have been under his care…read morefor a few years and he always actively listens to my issues and recommends the appropriate treatment. He does not immediately start with the most aggressive form of treatment, but will get more aggressive if a course of treatment (therapy in my case) is not yielding results. I'm 54 and in good shape, but a few years ago I had back pain due to stenosis that radiated into my legs (sciatica). I tried to ignore it, but it bothered me so much that I had to take sit breaks when walking (eagerly eyeing and fighting 75 year olds for a spot on a bench) and couldn't stand in one spot more than five minutes. The pain impacted my life to such a degree that I avoided activities and just wanted to sit or lie down. Dr. Chacin fixed my issue with injections and I not only avoided surgery but I was able to resume all activities I couldn't do previously and felt human again! I've also watched him interact with other patients and he's so empathetic and calm! ! have so much faith in him that my wife was experiencing back pain recently and I referred her to him and he's helped her too! Thanks Dr. Chacin - you're the best!

Dennis is an AMAZING Neuromuscular Therapist (a special type of massage based on Paul St. John's…read moremethod, which has real therapeutic benefits and results). Dennis is extremely talented and efficient, so he can accomplish a lot in an hour session. The work he does with jaw (TMJ issues), head, and neck really helped me a lot. Dennis is a trainer, teacher, and expert in this field. In addition to his massage, Dennis does NLP (Neuro Linguisic Programming), which can be helpful as well. Dennis is one of the most dynamic and interesting people I've ever met, so every session I've had with him has been fun. I used to see him only when I was in town visiting my grandparents (who sadly no longer grace the earth) so I don't get occasion to visit Fort Lauderdale anymore. If I ever make it back there, I will try to get in with him again. I don't usually see male massage therapists, but I always felt at ease with him (and he gives his female clients tube tops and jogging shorts, so that he can get to all the important muscles without any discomfort). My husband and dad both had sessions with Dennis as well, and they also thought very highly of his work and had follow-up appointments. Dennis gave my husband and me different excercises to do that were very specific for our unique patterns. He's excellent, insightful, and I only wish he worked closer to where we live!

Since…read morethen, I've seen him regularly for a variety of issues: back pain, chest pain, ankle pain, wrist pain, headaches. He uses his hands like a surgeon uses a scalpel. Not only does he treat my symptoms, but he also sends me home with stretches and corrective exercises for maintenance. He has a vast, intuitive understanding of anatomy, which he explains while applying a treatment plan. Without Dennis, I'd probably be seeing a slew of doctors and taking a bunch of pills (or surgery) to help with things that he can easily fix, naturally. I suggest him to all my friends who are struggling with pain, no matter how far the drive.

It really pains me to leave this review because I loved Dr. Ghany as as a doctor and surgeon. It is…read moreSO unfortunate that this office's accounting department is completely unresponsive. Dr. Ghany performed surgery on my right hand in January of 2023. 2 years ago. Mind you, I had to pay towards my deductible up front (before having the surgery) rather than them billing my insurance and me paying the amount due after they processed everything. So, like any other person who needed a surgical procedure done (and in a timely manner because I had a severe infection), I forked out the almost $2000 right then and there so I was able to have my procedure. I reviewed my EOB from insurance several months later after moving out of state to Massachusetts [let this be your lesson to review your EOBs in a timely manner!!!] and it showed that I overpaid for my procedure. I contacted SOC and got an updated patient statement and they indeed confirmed that I was owed money. I went online and filled out the patient refund form (direction for this process was provided on their website) and waited "patiently". I noticed i hadn't heard from them after another month or so and decided to call. I spoke to a Lola, who has so far been the only one to return any communication- even if limited, and she said that something must have gone wrong online because she didn't see my submission. The form couldn't be emailed to me, it had to be faxed or mailed. I was working from home at the time and didn't have access to fax, so I requested her to mail it. I received the form a few weeks later along with an updated patient statement that included $50 no-show fees for 3 missed appointments. Mind you- those fees were not on the account statement I originally received. I was told after my surgery that I would not be charged for any appointments for up to 90 days because they were considered post-op appointments and they were included in my surgery cost. [Note: this is a separate issue that I chose not to deal with at the time because I was trying to pick and choose my battles after being frustrated with the refund process.] So, after alllllllllllllll of this, it is now August 2024 and I mail back the refund form. This time I received a courtesy call from Lola acknowledging receipt of the form. She advised me it would take up to 30 days for accounting to process the refund, and once it was processed, I would receive a check via mail. It is now January 2025 and I have still not received my refund check. I have called multiple times since August- the times I got a call back from Lola she stated that she was just the messenger and that she confirmed accounting had the form and that's the only update she was given. Just recently, December 18th, 2024, I called again because I was at my wits end after calling repeatedly and leaving messages with no response. She called back stating the same thing and ensured me she would reach out to accounting. I asked to have someone, whether someone from accounting or an office manager, give me a call to discuss the hold up on the refund, and I have not heard from one person in that office since. This is extremely disheartening considering a few things... 1. The credit on file is literally money they confirmed they owe me for overpayment. 2. I have been extremely patient in dealing with this obnoxious process and having little to no communication/response back. 3. I am 1500 miles away and cannot walk in there to demand to speak to someone. 4. I am struggling financially and could REALLY use the $350 that is owed to me. I am attaching my call history with SOC since July of 2024. I have also called from family members phones. I tried not to be a pest, leaving decent time btwn calls, which clearly got me nowhere but frustrated and with money still owed to me. This is outrageous and it is a damn shame because Dr. Ghany and his medical staff were amazing and I would have recommended him to anyone and everyone prior to this experience with his office.
