I've been shopping at Food Fair for years when I come to visit my parents. It used to be called…read moreDeemers but they got bought out a few years ago. It's a small grocery store with a hometown feeling. Plus it's nice to come here when you don't want to walk around a large grocery store for a few items. I stopped in for tea and honey as I had a sore throat. The tea was on sale for $2.99 but rang up at $3.19. I advised the cashier, who was the young man, and he looked at me like I was crazy. There were two people behind me but I didn't care, so I walked back to the shelf to make sure I saw the right price, and I did. He corrected the price. I know what you're thinking, it's only $0.20. But if the shelf tag says it's one price that's what it should ring up as, right? My family has used this grocery store to purchase fried chicken for special events many times. The deli line is always long, because not only is the chicken good, but many other items such as ham salad, etc. You can call in the chicken order ahead of time and they will have it ready when you pick it up. You can't pay when you call in the order as you have to pay when you pick it up. I would recommend Food Fair for your grocery needs. But like anywhere, be sure the price matches the shelf tag.

I went with my sister to pick up a few groceries I needed while visiting my parents. They had the isles marked so everyone travels in the same direction. Only problem was....not everyone can follow directions. They were low on pre-made salads but I managed to grab two. I found string cheese for snacking and some coconut toasted Cheerios limited edition. Can't wait to try those in the morning lol. You can find just about anything you are looking for at Wal-Mart. Pet food, home goods, groceries, patio furniture, grills, shoes, toys, electronics, over the counter medication, and sunscreen. The list goes on and on. This is your one stop shopping spot!

What the hell good are the mandates for if you're not enforcing them?? I spoke to the manager and she said they would certainly look into it. I come here every few days to get supplies done my elderly parents and now I have to find somewhere else because I am not going back until I know things have changed.

I have shopped at this location many times over the years for such things as gas for the grill, paper products and over the counter drug items. On my last visit I noticed a self-checkout register just before the cashier waited on me LOL. I've never seen a self-checkout at any Dollar General so I was pleasantly surprised. You can find just about anything at the Dollar General. And they have some of the lowest prices around. And don't forget to clip your online coupons to save more money. The customer in front of me saved nearly $22 by using online coupons, I heard the cashier say. Not too shabby! Service always includes a smile and a friendly thank you;)

My husband and I went in here today and I noticed that on the way into the store, they have a sign…read morestating that they are looking to fill several jobs. We did our grocery shopping and I decided to check into applying for a job with them, so I went to the service desk. I asked the man at the desk for an application (just an application, mind you) and his first response was "What's your situation? Where do you live?"-spoken rudely. I told him my home location and his next response was "That's a 30-35 minute drive, and during a snow emergency you won't come in." Which, mind you, was entirely wrong. He proceeded to state that it just wouldn't be beneficial to me to apply there. He never gave me an application and I felt as though he discriminated against me because of the way I was spoken to and treated. Needless to say, my husband and I will NOT be coming back and we will spread the word. We will take our $500+ grocery shopping a month elsewhere and suggest that others do as well. If it hadn't been for the fact that I am not a rude person, we WOULD have left our $150 worth of groceries on the conveyor belt and walked out.
