This Kroger sits at the busy intersection of Indian Lake and Main Street in Hendersonville, and is a Kroger that has seen updates and renovations in the past few years. With that, the store is nice from entry to exit. Updated signage, flooring, specialty counters including sushi, cheese and subs, plus they even have the Starbucks an update! This store is a larger footprint, and features a separate and dedicated entrance for the pharmacy/little clinic. The store is well laid out, well kept and clean. Shelves were stocked and easy to navigate. Service was friendly at the register and on the floor. They do have a gas station, however it is oddly located across Main Street where the old Kroger used to be. Overall, if I was closer to Hendersonville, this would definitely be my go-to Kroger location! read more

This store really needs help. I have tired giving them multiple opportunities and each time it gets worse. I am not going to go into detail on the multiple occasions that they do not have produce. I want to keep it simple and address the staffing issue. They are ALWAYS understaffed. On this particular night there was no one in the butcher department. (Like always) A styrofoam plate was propped up with a sharpie signing "Out to lunch. Be back in 30 minutes. " Ok? When did you leave for lunch? Was five minutes ago was it 20 minutes ago? So I continued to shop and came back 15 minutes later and proceeded to wait. I figured I'd only have about 15 minutes to wait at the most. I waited a total of 45 minutes and no one returned. I finally went over to the bakery to ask if anybody was there to help. She said I have no clue. I'll try and call someone. I said OK thank you kindly. I went back to the butcher area. I waited another 10 minutes, at this point multiple customers were coming up to me poking fun of at the fact that I was waiting there so long. One of them even said I could have cooked steak and eaten it already. Funny yes. But man, this store really needs to get it together. There is never anyone in the cheese department to cut the high end cheeses as well. This is fine. But if you are offering the services at least have the staff to provide it. read more

I would have given a little better score, but I am so aggravated and tired of ALWAYS finding errors on my receipt and always in their favor. Watch your receipts. You will notice that many items are way higher than the sticker price on the shelf. Price gouging, false advertising and of course the usual poor quality that shows up in dairy and produce all the time. Things soured, rotten, molding the day after purchase. For whatever reason, the young teenagers there have some sort of attitude. I don't know what it is. I don't know what causes it but they seem like they're so unhappy to work there and that we're blessed to have them even check us out! They don't say hi and have zero customer service. One young girl who is a bagger couldn't stop laughing and I asked her if everything was OK. The store itself is well stocked organized, and have decent prices, however, after talking with other locals, we take our business to Publix simply because of the rude service. read more

When I informed the manager that one of the young cashiers was extremely disrespectful she didn't even believe me and she was just as rude. The young gentleman asked me if I was a Californian which is an insult then called me bub and said I was rude all I asked was if I could get some quarters. I left a peppers form cake down there I have tried for 45 minutes called four times and had the receipt in my hand to tell them that I was coming back to get my cake they won't even answer the phone then it goes straight to hanging me up four different times can't get a person on the phone and that was a $5 .50 pepperidge farm cake where the cashier did not put it in my basket when I got my groceries and I got home took my groceries out went back looking in my freezer my car my refrigerator everywhere and it's not here and then when I try to call and they can't even answer the phone almost 45 minutes calling four times is still didn't get a human person on the phone The worst customer service I've ever seen read more

Awesome new Kroger that opened just a few months ago. Well stocked very nice employees. The store is centrally located off of E. Main Rd. in downtown Hendersonville which is a very convenient location. Most are members are very helpful and a Starbucks coffee is located inside the store. A very ample wine section is located in the store as well as beer. A great place to shop at reasonable prices. read more

Gina is the least helpful person I've ever come in contact with. Instead of helping us get the milk that they have in the back in cooler that you can see, she just said "sorry we don't have anybody working dairy right now". It's unfortunate that my grandmother likes her Kroger brand sweet acidophilus milk because I'd like to never have to go back here thanks to Gina. read more

I visited this store last week while on vacation. I really liked it! It's a large store that has everything and is clean and well organized! The employees and customers were very courteous. This made it extra special. The only thing I didn't like, was having to bag my own items (yes, kind of spoiled???). I suppose I could look at it as exercise for my arms. I have been a fan of the people at the Main St Kroger even before they moved. I must say, I do love the new store. Not only do they amazing selections of fresh food, but the aisles are so easy to maneuver through (I push a twin stroller and pull a cart through the aisles, so space matters a LOT to me.) On to the best asset Kroger's has... their employees! They know me by name (I'm n there quite a bit.) they know my children by name and ask about them when the kids aren't with me. And when I asked the manager for assistance, he dropped what he was doing and took the time to personally help me. The Clicklist feature is awesome. I have seriously never encountered anyone at any department that was not courteous and friendly and helpful. No one has ever seemed put out. They always offer to help me to my car. Occasionally, I have to go to another store. And when I do, I am always reminded why I love the Main St location! read more

Interviewed and got the job here only to be fired days later for being sick. I called in many hours in advance to let them know I wasn't going to be able to make it due to flu-like symptoms and the manager got very aggressive with me. The videos they show during training urged me not to come in while sick, especially during a pandemic. Be careful interacting with employees at this Kroger because they might have been forced to work while being sick. Not only did they fire me after one infraction, but they avoided my calls and only let me know after I called several times. read more

It is exciting to have a concept store in Hendersonville! This Kroger is one of a kind. Its modern design makes it inviting to shop on a Sunday afternoon. When you first walk in, you are greeted with their produce section. Man!!! I love me some good produce selections! They have organic everything. They even had jackfruit- I was shocked. On your right you will see their deli section. They have a huge speciality cheese area! Their hot food offerings were pretty amazing. They offer pho and ramen. You heard me! I know they cook both of them with real bones so no fake stuff over there. They also serve Mexican food so you can even get a burrito bowl! What! They have so many hot meals offering in the deli so you have got to check it out. My favorite part though is their huge section for pets. It's in the back left and it's a little hidden but they have got everything pets related! I know I'm getting old when I'm writing reviews and getting excited about grocery stores but check it out! I hate that they use Instacart!! It's the worst experience ever!! I have ordered on several occasions and there has been times where my groceries never came. This last time I ordered and called for assistance spoke with a manager named Jonathan that was very rude to me. He says he can only refund my original method and that's it. I notice that some people on here are raving about the new Kroger. Not me, they do have an awesome produce section, that is always unstocked. Move over to the coffee aisle, always unstocked, Dairy section umm so so. Pet food section, while they do have many choices they also raised their prices quite a bit when they moved to this new location. You can get the same stuff and better choices at Target for a couple of bucks less. My experience has been poor, they are always out of things and can't get enough people to work at the store, because they pay so poorly. Long lines and not enough registers open. They want you to use self checkout. They usually have two self checkout lanes and rarely as many or more regular lanes open. Poor use of manpower and you occasionally have to bag your own groceries because they can't figure out how to manage this location. read more

One person on register and another bagging groceries should keep things simple, but the bagger did not seem to want to be there. She put all my bags in a cart, or so I thought. Discovered as I was leaving that she put all my vegetables somewhere else. Less than 30 seconds had passed. I returned and told her my vegetables were missing. She had put the bag in a separate area and was packing the next person's food in the same bag on top of mine. She wouldn't look at me, though I wasn't angry. She gave me two of my items only. She never apologized, which is why I'm writing this review. The cashier witnessed it too and did nothing, though I didn't expect him to. I still did not get the avocados that I paid for. Again, it's not so much her carelessness as it was her attitude and lack of any sort of apology, along with no desire to fix her error. Want to mention, as I was checking out, a manager was giving breaks and everyone working looked like they were desperate for him to select them. I attributed her error to a lack of break so that wasn't the important part of this issue. read more

One of my favorite things about the new location is the parking lot. It's much roomier and easier to get around than the old one. Better flow around the gas station also. The store is really nice and they've added some nice features. I just have to get used to where things are. They had some great deals with the opening. Super friendly help by a young man named Toby. This is the 4th time in a row we have submitted an order for pickup and have waited over 40 minutes to receive the groceries. My husband called saying he was there at 5:27 and still has not received our order at 6:08. We have dinner that is now ruined that he had stopped and gotten on the way and it keeps happening. I can understand once in a while but every time is ridiculous especially when you typically charge a fee for this "service". We could shop for them ourselves in less time and based on that we will no longer be shopping at this store. We will be taking our business elsewhere. Hello- I am a long time Kroger customer and this is the first time I've written a comment. Today was XTRA busy due to inclement weather rolling in in the next 24 hours and at 11am all the lines were half way down the isles. They were short handed to say the least! Then I saw a young woman with 2 boys under the age of 5, with a very full cart of groceries pull her cart over to the side, then sat her boys down on the floor behind an unused Register and jumped on the next open Register and started cashiering and bagging peoples groceries! I was so overwhelmed with this employees graciousness to step up and help out when it was REALLY needed and APPRECIATED SO MUCH!! And the lady customer behind me asked if she could buy her boys a candy bar or chips to hold them over while they waited patiently for their Mom to finish her good deed for the day! Her name is Tracy and she deserves to be recognized for her for this!! Love my Kroger!! read more

It seems as every time I or a member of my family come in here there is something we can't find. No big deal. It happens. However, we always ask an employee for help and the answer always seems to be "Sorry we don't have that". Then as we continue are shopping we end up stumbling across the item we had been searching for. Management you may want to do a training with your staff. All of them on the location of items within your store. Of this happened once. No biggie. But this has happened more than 4 times. With 4 different people. That's a problem. Well, normally have had rather great experiences with Kroger..the staff friendly, helpful, but not anywhere near as perfect as Publix...just hubby finds Publix too expensive for his Scots blood. I was sort of semi impressed with the new store at 170 W. Main, near the High School, but not so much with the staff at the checkout. The young ladies in the Pharmacy were wonderful, so kind and helpful...the bald pharmacist, well, let's just say seen too much angry folk at his desk I guess! The checkout guys, according to my husband...I try to be nice to everyone if I can but it is not always the way to go...some folks just do not appreciate nice...they view it as weak...and these fellows each try to outdo each other with how inane they can sound to a departing customer...so, only 2 stars for you all...try better next time and very Happy New Year 2018...the wife! read more

In my opinion, this is just a regular grocery store. My low rating us because when I took my service dog into the store, several employees gave me dirty stares and some even had the audacity to ask if my dog was actually a service dog. Legally, this is all they are allowed to ask me, however, with the dirty stares, I was already upset. If the employees don't know the laws of service animals and don't respect them, then I won't be shopping at Kroger ever again. Publix is just across the street and is much more welcoming of service animals and also has higher quality food for basically the same price as Kroger. read more
