First of all, I would love to give all the glory to the workers. When I walked in I saw hard working, well deserved workers. My goal was to get supplies for dinner, but I saw something greater than myself, a working unity. Joey Baily caught my eye particular, he was hard working and led his squad. He waved at me with a smile on his face and an unstoppable attitude to be the best version of himself. He helped me find the supplies and bagged my groceries. I actually like Kroger a lot. The reward system actually makes more sense than Meijer. I shopped at Ralph's a lot in California and both are the same. Kroger owns Ralph's. I was able to use my same information from Ralph's for the Kroger app. They have pretty good members prices. Some may not have of a discount depending on what you purchased. read more

Bad experience with Tom at bottle return I had a machine that wouldn't take cans or bottles but other machines did ask tom to fix he was very rude said if it don't take it because it's not excepted it's not good here, I explained that the other machine took them he said I said it's not excepted. I told him he has a bad attitude he said I don't care what you think of my attitude! His manager seemed to care but when I left store tom was mopping up a gallon of milk someone dropped at register Karma for sure! I won't go back because of tom! read more

Ordered the ready to eat fried chicken dinner. The chicken was horrible a breast and a wing. The breast had very little meat as it was all breaded and full of grease. The wing was the same. I got the macaroni and cheese with it. It was incredibly dry like it was 2 to 3 days old. The wedge french fries were decent, although they were dry too, but they were the best part of the meal. Supposed to include a roll they were out of rolls. Very disappointed in the quality of this food. read more

I was checking out at Kroger around 9:40 PM and, as usual, used the self-checkout lane--which, to note, was the only option available at the time. Everything went smoothly as I scanned my items, but when I scanned a Kroger-issued coupon, the system required staff verification, as it does for every coupon. The attendant came over, but her attitude made it feel like I was doing something wrong. There was nothing unusual here--just a standard verification that took no more than 10 seconds. Still, the way I was treated was uncalled for and left me feeling uncomfortable. Let's not forget, by using self-checkout, I'm already doing all the work--scanning, bagging, and paying. The least I expect is a courteous and professional attitude from staff when they're needed to assist. Kroger, if self-checkout is going to be the only option late at night, make sure your staff approaches customers with respect. read more

I was at the gas station to get some cigarettes and there were 2 people working and I asked the guy (which was Randy) to come to the register to wait on me and the girl who was at the register (her name starts with a K)wouldn't let him and he refused to wait on me like the girl who was at the register. She called me a fat "a" "b" and I really can't walk that girl does not know what I go through everyday with a bad back and a bad hip and also told me that she she was going to my job to complain which she can't complain about me for no reason at all and comes into my job she will be banned from my job like did with me of banning me from the gas station and the store and I'm the customer and she should know that the customer is always right no matter what and I also know that there's been other complaints about the girl and every time I've been up there (before I got banned by this girl) every customer who was behind me complained about her talking too much and ALWAYS on her phone read more

Literally the worst Kroger I have ever been to. Rude old employees and self checks that don't even work.

My wife has stated that this is by far the worst Kroger store because they are always out of items. Sunday 4/2/22 I went to Kroger's to get coleslaw sauce; there was none on the shelf, so I decided on a different meal. Today 4/6/23 I went back to Krogers and saw the coleslaw sauces were still not on the shelf. I asked a employee if they moved the item somewhere else, she looked the item up and stated we have some in the back. This is a decent sized Kroger store. The parking lot was a bit crowded when we stopped in on Saturday to pick up some salads and desserts. The store was clean, inside and out, and they had just what we were looking for. We got two Kroger brand bagged Caesar salad kit mixes with bacon bits, some pumpkin chocolate chip cookies, and a strawberry cheesecake. Everything was delicious and the prices were fair. My elderly mother went into the store to get a Lowe's gift card and was overwhelmed by the selection. Her sight is failing. She left very frustrated and defeated. Today is birthday party for the person she was buying the card for. we ordered our cake from your store also. My dad was going to come pick up the cake for my mom.. I called ahead and spoke with employee by the name of NICOLE (not sure of spelling) She went and grabbed a Lowes gift card and went over to bakery and put it on top of cake so my dad just had to pay for cake and Lowes gc at one time. She went beyond the call of her normal duties She did not hesitate to help and was so very kind and pleasant. Thank you Nicole .. They did not have my pick up order ready, I got a voicemail 15 minutes before I was scheduled to pick up my groceries, I was already en route. when I arrive the sales associate said they had called and my order was not ready. She said they would call me when it was done. Pickup closes at 9:00, it is 8:45 and I have not heard from them... so I call and they say my order is still not ready!! I ordered the items at 3:00 this afternoon for dinner to tonight, the order was supposed to be filled between 7-8. The service and attitude of sales associates is abysmal. read more

I don't know what it is about Kroger stores around here, but they are really crappy places to shop. Selection is poor, the layout is confusing and random and if I wanted to bag my own groceries I would get a job there. They love to close the normal checkout lanes so that you can scan and bag your own stuff. Then, when you inevitably need help, the self-check person shows up with a chip on their shoulder and rude attitude to match. When in the area, I will go WAY out of my way to shop at Meijer or Bueche's. Oh, and watch out in the parking lot. They finally reconfigured it but people barrel through not watching for patrons or other cars. Every visit carries the guarantee of several near-misses in the lot. read more

Of all the grocery stores in town, this is definitely the most organized but also probably the priciest. I usually prefer to go to the Walmart up the street but on a weekend it's usually too crowded and if I just want a couple of things I come here. The parking lot is oddly designed and you have to be quite careful with all the pedestrians, but otherwise a solid grocery store where most things are readily available. read more

I probably shop here more than any other store, just because the location is convenient for me. The store is usually relatively clean. The deli is always well stocked. The salad bar is great, as is the sushi bar. The meat/seafood counter is usually well stocked and the staff behind the counter is always friendly. Not so good... the produce sections is always lackluster and picked through. I often leave with only half of what was on my list, and that's very frustrating. The dry goods selection is so-so. It would be nice if they would move out some of the seasonal and decor stuff and expand the dry goods selection. read more

What can I say except this is a couponers dream store. They double coupon up to $1.00 and have good every day prices. Staff is almost always kind and really want to help people. They even go out if their way if needed. Pharmacy is efficient and never had a issue with anything. Coming from metro Detroit I wish all the stores down there could run this smooth and trained the staff to be this nice. read more

I like krogering in Grand Blanc. It's a nice grocery store and everything makes the most sense in how it's merchandised. Except the coffee. Kroger let's get some real coffee in there and make the ground coffee bigger than a sandwich bag for 7.99$. Come on ! Often times I wander around as if I'm searching for the answer to life. I must then wake myself and say "self , it's time to go home" usually in William Shatner voice before he got fat and weird. Anyhow , staff is always very nice and helpful. It almost as if they know when I'm coming (that's what she said) 8.7 out of 10 stars. That's the review. Put it in the book. I use to love going to this Kroger when I first moved her 9yrs ago then they renovated half the cashiers act like they are doing you a favor to check you out and if they do not have a bagger good luck some of them just plain expect you to bag for your self. So many times I go there and the stuff on the coupon they either do not carry or don't have. Meijer produce is so much better and well kept. Will welcome Aldi and good bye Kroger. It is easy to pop in there and grab a few things but that is about all. I went there to day and once again left saying never again. read more

The only thing saving this place is the fact that it's an oligopoly and some of the people here are nice. I'm mainly writing this because of the apparent price gouging going on. Ever since this store completed the bulk of its expansion, prices on everything have gone up 10-15% on average. Check it out- go get the exact same thing at the Bristol location 5 miles away and you'll see at least that price difference. Some examples include Boars Head deli meats, running $10.99/lb here (found less than $10 everywhere else), Cracklin Oat Bran at $5.69 ($3.79 at Meijer), and various meats at the counter between $.50-$2.00 more per lb. than just a few months ago. What makes matters worse here is that this place constantly is out of stock on items you want (e.g. sale items) and totally in stock of things you don't (like 85 different manufacturers of tortillas). Oh and take note- cellphones die here. The building kills all cellular signals and they're "living in the 80s" (no Wifi) so anything you need to look up for recipes should be done in the battle arena aka parking lot, and communication with another party you came in with should be done with a 2-way radio you bring or by smoke signal. Most of us shop here because of convenience. Nah, not anymore. Maybe I'll return when that guy who owns the Kmart lot across the street drops his rent prices from Bel Air to Grand Blanc levels and lets competition set up shop. Edit Sept 2017- they've finally figured out that having available Wifi might help business, so I'm giving them another star for this effort. Still massively lacking on availability of sale items and evident premium pricing. March 2018- Back to one star. Why? For the fourth time in less than many weeks, their computer system has shut down, rendering the register scanners (and apparently the staff) useless. God forbid they use some calculators and go to a cash only operation, but that I guess would complicate things. I'm going to go across the street and wait for the savior alternative store to open up so that we don't have to shop at this store that taunts Clicklist but makes it difficult to sign up online, and promotes gas points but has no gas station. read more

I shop here because they have the nicest bakery area and the store is clean and cashiers fast and friendly. If you don't want to shop here, that leaves you Walmart and Sams. I still like Sams and Walmart and shop there a lot for different reasons. They have huge selection, clothes, appliances and low prices, but Kroger has nice cashiers, good carry out, a nice variety of meat and poultry. It's my local Kroger and it has seen its fair share of improvements. The carry out area is very nice, lots of options for different taste buds and diets. The best part is the quick checkouts and friendly workers. The parking lot sucks as some other people have stated in their reviews. I've seen multiple accidents and near collisions while coming and going. I'm sure I will be next now that I have said that. read more

I was in town from California for my father's 70th birthday and he wanted me to pick him up some Vernor's from Kroger. No big deal- easy request. While there I decided to pick up a last minute cake (mind you we had already had celebrated but my Dad LOVES cake). I asked the young woman, Ashley if any of the cakes were white with whipped cream frosting. She said none were ready at the time but if I gave her 5 minutes she could literally whip one up! Surprised, I said of course and wandered the store. About 5 minutes later I went back to the bakery and Ashley presented me with an absolutely beautiful cake. I didn't need anything fancy but you could tell the care Ashley put into the cake to make it special. I cannot thank Ashley enough for going above and beyond. Beautiful cake- delicious!- and all done with a smile. If you are in the bakery area, ask for Ashley. You won't be disappointed! read more

I can't tell how many times I leave unhappy bc they lack produce ALL the time! This is a review of Kroger Check list because i could not find anywhere else to review it. I've done grocery pick up at Walmart and it was great! But Kroger was phenomenal! My roommate "forgot" to pick up our order, and they were more then happy to help me out the following day. On top of that, my check list specialist Tim was a gem. This is probably the most unorganized Kroger I've ever gone to. They have juice boxes in the same aisle as the cereal and the other drinks (water, apple juice, V8, etc,) are in the same aisle as the books and the sports drinks, lol. They have oatmeal in the same aisle as the cereal and juice boxes and the other breakfast foods (pancakes, etc.) in the same aisle as the paper plates- it's insane. After about 3 trips, you get used to it, lol.. that's why I have them 4 stars, lol. Just prepare yourself to walk down every aisle. read more

Beyond awful experience. The worker started to cuss at me! Unfit for his job. I got. 4 balloons, 2 regular red ones and one big happy birthday one. The large happy birthday one had a printed tag of a little over 8 dollars. The two red balloons had a PEN WRITTEN tag that stated they were 3 dollars and some change. The worker continues to type it in and it rings up as 17 dollars (with some change) I kindly asked for him to check again and that the number looks like a 3 not an 8 as he rang it in. He kept arguing with me and then continued to say "it looks like a fucking 8 to me but I'll ask someone to double check and still say I'm right." I was blown back!! I nearly had tears in my eyes I've never been cussed at before, the woman comes over to argue with me as well but continues to change it and refuses to give me a receipt!! I've tried to call many times but go ahold of no one to address this issue. Shame on your workers. read more

I seriously loathe this Kroger location. First the parking lot is a cluster fuck. It's an accident waiting to happen. Don't even get me started on the inside. The veggie/fruit section is a joke. It's set up terribly. There is no room to navigate your cart because it seems no matter when I go they are stocking up something and their gigantic cart is taking up most of the pathway. So yet again, you are trying to weave your way around that and other people. I just want to grab my bag of salad and get the hell out of there. The aisles are not arranged the same as the other Kroger's I have gone to. Nothing makes sense. I have been coming here for about 5 mos now and still can't find what I'm looking for. I pretty much roam aimlessly like an idiot looking for god only knows what. Their selection also blows. The stuff I usually got at the Lake Orion location they don't offer at this one..meh! Yes, I will still come to this Kroger and bitch about it the entire time I'm there but it keeps me from going to the dreaded Walmart. Funny to read everyone's complaints. But seriously this Kroger is atrocious. Start to finish, beginning to end! Produce is terrible and frustrating! They're always out of the sale items. The carts are super old and all drive sideways. This store must be the last to update their carts. Kroger in general advertised that they reduced prices on thousands of items, but I noticed that they also raised prices on thousands of items ! Without clipping coupons your bill is crazy high. This parking lot is scary, especially with how people drive. Nobody cares about slowing down or being courteous to each other so it's tragedy waiting to happen. Terrible, terrible terrible. Where do I start? This is my local neighborhood store (unfortunately). I avoid shopping here at all costs. Here are the main issues that I do not believe are fixable (no matter how much renovation is done to this store): --parking is atrocious. Parking lot layout is odd to say the least. It is very small for the number of patrons and it's been painted over and over so parking lines are confusing and undefined. It is also very dangerous. Rows are narrow and angles odd, so it's difficult to see people pulling out and in. I can't tell you how many times my car has been dinged by doors from others parking too closely. I have actually been backed into three times in the last 8 years (I was parked and sitting in my space each time). Good luck on finding a place to park, even early morning or late evening. In the spring/summer Kroger uses it's tremendously good sense to rope off part of the already non-existent parking lot to be used as a "garden center". Seriously Grand Blanc Kroger? How many patio sets and grills are you selling to make the use of this valuable parking space worthwhile??? --The fresh produce is a joke. With the number of people who shop in this store the produce should be fresh and plentiful at best. Nope. They always seem to be stocking at peak times causing navigation difficulties in the tiny produce area. What is being stocked sometimes looks very questionable. I try to purchase organic (when available) but it's usually rotting and past it's prime. Cabbage heads get smaller as they peel back the rotting leaves for continued sale. Try to find something specific when you need it--leeks, flat leaf parsley, scallions?...forget it. These items seem to be "seasonal" with this Kroger location. --Fresh meat and Seafood selection has improved over the years but doesn't remain consistent. I find an item I like, then when I go back next time, it's no longer available. Examples such as Meatloaf mix and Grobel's flat cut corned beef. Sometimes you can't get a filet from the meat counter. They're out???? I've purchased fresh cooked shrimp (well it was previously frozen they told me) and it should have been thrown away the day before! Literally thousands of people shop at this store weekly. Shouldn't Kroger have a vague idea about customer needs and inventory/quality control? --At one time this location had a small "gourmet and imported" foods section. This area all but disappeared during the previous "renovation". My favorite BBQ sauce (only found in the section), as well as a decently flavored soy sauce also went by the wayside... --most people I know purchase bottled water. Kroger has eliminated much of the brand named bottled water only to have replaced it with Kroger brand bottled water which tastes like, to quote my husband, "came out of a garden hose". --Dairy items are sub-par. Sometimes they carry the organic milk I like to purchase. Most times they're out of that brand which forced me to buy Kroger's Simply Organic brand. It's frustrating not to be to find the products you want. They once carried a high end brand of well-aged Parmesan cheese in block form. Well, that brand is gone, replaced by none other than Kroger's brand of parmesan, which doesn't even compare. --fresh baked goods and deli items are typically old and stale. With the turnover in this store, shouldn't I be able to purchase ready made cakes, cookies or other "Kroger" fresh from the bakery or deli items that don't expire within the next 24 hours???? --Check out is a disaster. I've often spent more time in checkout than I did shopping for my grocery items. I prefer paper bags to the 900 plastic bags they like to bag one item at a time in. When I ask for paper, they are often out. Also, I usually end up bagging my own groceries because the baggers magically disappear when a customer needs bagging. If they do bag for you, watch out. They usually employ surly youngsters who will drop cleaning products on top of your bread or turn a carton of eggs on it's side to fit it into a bag filled with 20 pounds of canned goods. --Bottom line: SHOP SOMEWHERE ELSE and avoid the aggravation and disappointment that is ALWAYS associated with this store. read more

I have avoided this location for years due to the parking lot. It's a horrible arrangement. However I have started shopping here recently during off hours and have been pleasantly surprised. The quality of the meat department is fabulous. The produce section is OK. I have found that meijer has a much better produce selection. My favorite part is the checkout experience. I always get through quickly and all of the cashiers are friendly. I can't say that about meijer which is always a slow half hour long process. read more
