My mother was measured for her custom wheelchair in early November while she was a patient at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Cypress. Understanding that custom wheelchairs require several months to be built and delivered, I began calling in early January to request a status update. Despite leaving multiple voicemails--six in total--for the assigned representative, Savanna, none of my calls were returned. After repeated follow-ups, I was informed that my mother's file had been sitting on Savanna's desk, unprocessed. This indicates that my messages were received but not acted upon. It was only after my continued calls that action was finally taken. During my most recent call, I learned that the required paperwork had *just* been submitted for the physician's signature--an essential step that should have been completed at the beginning of the process. As a result of this unnecessary delay, my mother's wheelchair delivery has been pushed back even further. This delay directly impacts her mobility and interferes with her ability to progress in her rehabilitation and healing. I selected this company based on a recommendation from the caseworker at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Cypress, who described them as a reliable provider. Unfortunately, that has not been our experience. Based on the lack of communication, follow-through, and accountability, I cannot recommend Great American Mobility & Medical Equipment to others. If I could give zero stars, negative stars, I would!!

    They delivered a shower wheelchair for me on a Friday. 30 minutes after they left we were moving it…read moreinto position under my Hoyer lift and the wheel fell off. So, there I am naked and hanging in the air with a brand new broken, unusable shower-chair. Literally seconds away from being in it. I guess they're lucky and I'm lucky I wasn't actually in it when it fell to pieces. This is ridiculous. I'm already in a wheelchair and I can't walk and now you're going to add insult to entry but not doing your damn job? Omg! Horrible service they don't answer the phones. I've waited over 30 minutes to speak to a supervisor and she told me she couldn't get a hold of her. Their phones are answered remotely so they're not even in the same building. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND! HORRIBLE ON EVERY ASPECT OF THEIR BUSINESS!!

They are taking advantage of government subsidies and the disabled. They are faking reviews so the company looks good, but just try dealing with them and you will see that they are HORRIBLE. Doctor submitted over 20 times the paperwork yet it was always something. My doctor has asked me to find another provider to handle this issue because they have put in too much effort over 20 submissions,emails and phone calls. For something that should be so simple

    To whom it my concern…read more Christy Noyolai, the most wonderful person I have dealt with. Dealing with for many years, Christy out worked all. Christy will not stop until job finished. Christy found order first part of October 2023. Ameria Group and myself told had everything needed orders complete. Doctor faxed orders over four timed, told stilled did not have. Wanted me to call Doctor have them to fax information over again refused. After numbers call finally and three or four delivery dates finally got bed and walker. Call for bed to be picked up on January 8th, as of this date January 27,2024, no one called to let me know when bed will be picked up. Unable to walk around in room without falling. Told I could no longer use bed, needed walker. Will call Christy have her to take care of this matter she is the only one who can get things done!!!!. I've received DME & supplies for…read more16 YEARS WITHOUT ANY PROBLEM UNTIL DEALING WITH COMFORT & CHAOS; they have CS REPS who are physically living in the PHILIPPINES, they cannot speak clear English at all & want to argue with the customers; I've literally spoke to one who was in the middle of her chicken coop & all I could hear were roosters crowing. Jen, Yahaida & all the rest of these Philippino employees are totally useless & lie about literally everything, they are not interested in supplying a customers needs at all, I don't know how they even stay in business; I'm guessing this place is owned by Philippinos who have a sub 70 IQ. I have finally found another DME that works with my insurance, thank GOD because I couldn't deal with these STUPIDs who are nasty one more time. I seriously hope this company will loose literally everything single contract with every insurance company by the end of this week & be forced out of business for customers/ patients sake. I am constantly calling and emailing the service department, unfortunately the 2 guys I have been dealing with doesn't really care much about disabilities needs. Adam, ignore emails and phone calls most of the times. Anytime, there's an issue with the powerchair, Great American charges $85.00 to evaluate the malfunctioning issues that at this point has been going on for almost 5 years. The last evaluation happened on August 2024. I called in December, 2024 to inquired about the repair status a guy named Jeremy stated "they were still waiting for insurance" approval, I received the approval letter from the insurance company dated Nov 27, 2024. I have to email this guy the insurance approval letter twice. Finally, the tech was scheduled to come on February 7 at 2:30, he showed up at 6:45pm. no one from Great American contacted me to let me know of the delayed. Some parts was ordered wrongly. On Monday, February 24, I emailed Adam, luckily he responded to my email stating the part will arrive Tuesday the 25th whichit was the next day, Adam stated on his email he will notify when thepart arrives to schedule the repairs, it's Friday the 28 of February, and no one has contacted me to schedule the replacement of the parts. My son is in danger driving the powerchair in the poor malfunctioning condition. No one at Great American service department cares much about patient danger or needs. Horrible DME company. Today, I received a phone call from Jeremy stating the part is scheduled to arrive today, what happened with Tuesday the 25???? They mislead information it's horrible. Management is not much good either.

Not the case I was exact specifications on what I wanted on powerchair they said no problem but chair measurements were taken was not accurate size seat measurements or accessories they had to order and then ordered incorrectly chair malfunctioned first day they came out didn't even know what what was wrong they guessed what it was basically had to wait for parts for long time still Daily malfunctioned leaving stranded in street for 30 minutes. Parts come in they say they are coming out but not what time had errands to do that day left several messages no body answer ever. They finally get ahold of me meet in town and replace joystick and still no fix but employee didn't finish job he is supposed to check cable to back area for length to allow the arm to raise up so person can transfer over but he doesn't check he the technician not me. He was also supposed to look at back up camera system doesn't know how to work on it at all doesn't call tech support nothing just says he has to order replacement parts and the technician is supposed to lube the hydraulic lifts for chair they are making noise like they are dry and need lub spray I know because I have three actually degrees college in air conditioning and mechanical and I'm not stupid but they want to charge me to come out $87 dollars to repair a powerchair that is under warranty by them and manufacture and the service manager said they only come out three times to repair at no charge will one you never fixed anything yet so far and if you would have said that at first during discussion of sales I would have went with another company because I have never heard any company charge during the warranty period but yes afterwards but not during that period and not when your technician caused the problem because I actually fell in a bathroom and fire department had to get me off floor and almost happened again yesterday again but store manager and employee came in and helped me off floor but fire department charged me $1800 to rescue me because of your failure of employee. If I wanted to I could make your company pay for it in small claims court
