I explained that it was my legal right to pay cash for my medication and not my insurance and she stated that CVS policy supersedes Federal law. I recorded the conversation. I have called CVS customer service and the executive pharmacist. Steven returned my call and said they were going to escalate it. I will be without medication starting tomorrow. I will no longer use this Pharmacy. I will find a mom and Pop local pharmacy and start using them for my medication. When a pharmacist tells you that policy supersedes law, there is a legal issue. The staff are knowledgeable, competent and friendly as well as very helpful. Last month we hadn't received a prescription we were expecting by mail that never showed up due to an error in ordering and our regular pharmacy didn't have it so I called to see if they had it in stock. They did but my wife had been independently checking around and had it already filled at a different Henry Ford Pharmacy. When I called back here to tell them thanks but we already found it, they were very pleasant about it and said they were happy we got it.

Every time I have to deal with the lead pharmacist, Purvi Patel , I regret coming into the store but it's the closest to my home. On MULTIPLE occasions they have been out of my medication and knew I'd be back for a refill within a few weeks but made no effort to get the medication back in stock . Furthermore, when I needed a script filled early she refused and I had to go to another pharmacy, on my broken leg to get my medication, the Walgreens I went to filled the script then and there. Because I did not say it out loud and instead stood in line she made a fuss turned to the pharmacist and said this lady thinks I can fill hers at the same time, and gave me a disgusting look. She then huffed and puffed and continued to give me attitude. Then blurted that the reason the other woman wasn't standing is because she couldn't walk. I was waiting in that line for 10 mins after the first time so mine was patiently waiting and did not blurt out loud that my order was finished. She broke my heart and it sank. She did that purposefully to make me feel poorly. I told her she did not have to make me feel bad about the situation and she continued to press with attitude that it was not her intention and apologized to the person behind me like I wasn't even human. The line can be hit or miss but it usually moves fast enough. The other day we ordered two 11x14 prints and they didn't cut them because "they didn't have a tool to cut them". Ok, well you shouldn't be selling 11x14 prints then or you should mark they'll be uncut when ordering. A small inconvenience, but still. It's not like you're getting a discount on photos here.
