I especially love their black bean and veggie soups. Ends up being about $3 dollars a container and you get ~2 servings of soup. Cheaper than Cambell's! While I don't live in Batesville, I work in Batesville, so I take pride in supporting a really wonderful local business like this one. Their price point is slightly higher than if you were to purchase meat at Kroger, but I look at that price increase as an investment in local business and quality product. Today, there's a positive energy in the store with colorful signs and neatly packed shelves. The meat is prepped on the premises by in-store butchers. I bought stuffed pork chops, steaks, smoked Polish sausage and Italian sausage. I was glad I brought a cooler with me. The staff was super friendly and packaged my purchases up for travel. I had the pork chops for dinner and they were delicious. I also picked up Easter candy and a few staples that I needed. I saw locally produced honey and Amish made egg noodles. Prices are reasonable. There is plenty of parking in their private lot. No public restrooms are available.
