I owe the owner, Tanya, an apology for not taking any pictures. I asked if it would be ok to post and then we got so busy shopping and talking, that I forgot to snap too! GPS originally took us right to the address, but there is not currently a sign out front (working on that), so I kept driving. Thank goodness the building is large and bright blue. When I called to make sure we were heading to the right place, the woman that answered the phone confirmed. Thankfully, we called, because it's an appointment only store. We turned around and parked on the street, in front of the building. Upon walking in we were shown a limited edition 49 and Market, Evergreen Season Bundle. There are some amazing products for scrapping and crafting that are only available at AIR (Alliance of Independent Retailers) locations. Of course I bought one. We were given a little background on the building's interesting history and got a few tips from Tanya. The building is old but you wouldn't realize it from all of the work that the family has put into it. Unfortunately, we kept Tanya from her coffee, but hopefully she had as good a time as my mom and me. My mom found a punch she has been searching for. I found some quilling materials and we both snagged some stuff for crafting. There is a great paper selection, along with stickers and embellishments. I found some cute wood decorations that I just can't wait to start decoupaging and painting. The pricing was great. There were even items offered at discounted prices. Given the choice I would much rather give my business to an independent business like Life's Memories. Having such an amazing selection and friendly owner just adds to the enjoyment!

An email to the business over the weekend was quickly answered, and it was clear they were eager to make things right. They did, but, for me, it involved multiple trips of 1/2 hour each. P.S. Even got to chatting with the owner for some time, very nice guy! Places like this are a rarity nowadays in the disposable world of convenient streaming, but I love being able to peruse the aisles. Streaming titles come and go, and it can't recreate the feeling of owning something and using it over and over again. This store isn't a relic of the past, it's an iconic place that is genuinely timeless.

As a homeowner, I have hired several contractors over the years to have projects done. As always, I…read morewill do weeks of research before hiring anybody. This can involve seeking recommendations, Internet searches, personally visiting the establishments, etc. I recently had a shed installed in my back yard, and after researching all of the local shed companies, I cose Andy's Custom Built Sheds in Westfield. And I am so glad I did. One of the reasons is that Andy's is one of the only companies who will build the shed on site. I had one other company tell me that under special circumstances they will build a shed on my property, but they would charge me more for it. The reason I needed a shed built in my yard is because getting a pre-built shed in there would have required cutting down a large tree. Not only was Andy's price within my budget, his work is top-notch. Andy and his wife Nicole work as a team, and they produce some beautiful sheds. The workmanship, the attention to detail, were exceptional. I have some carpentry skills of my own, so I appreciated the tight tollerances for seams, windows and doors that my shed exhibits. You can tell this shed was built by people who take pride in their work. If you need a shed, I highly recommend Andy's Custom Built Sheds.

He built me a great shed with limited access from the street and under a very tight time constraint (due to weather delays on the cement pad I contracted with another vendor to install). Andy also gave me great advice on door, window, and loft location that I had not even thought of, and often at a savings to me vs. what I thought I wanted! He is very experienced! At the point of purchase we dealt directly with the owner and his son, both were very nice and patiently answered every question we had. Our order, in excess of $2000, was placed in June & we were told that the stove would arrive as early as August, no later than September. It is now the first week in November and still no stove. Each time WE CALLED we were told the shipment would arrives in 2 weeks. The last time WE CALLED we spoke with the the owner who told us that the delay was only in the style/finish we had ordered, the rest were available. Okay, but why do WE have to keep calling every time to find out what is going on? Why has it taken this long to make us aware of this? why aren't they calling the customers to keep them informed? The lack of follow up customer care/service is what aggravates us the most and why we can not recommend them.
