The rice portions are big as well and can be shared among 2 people - my only complaint is rice not being included with the curry - it's an extra charge sadly. The workers are very friendly, they gave us a complimentary Butter Naan - very hot and fresh so thank you for that! We started with the hot garlic momos, which were perfectly saucy, spicy, and difficult to stop eating. The samosa croissant sandwich sounded unusual, but the buttery, flaky croissant worked incredibly well with the savory samosa filling. The dahi chana bomb was one of the most memorable bites of the meal. It was crispy, creamy, sweet, tangy, and spicy all at once--truly a burst of flavor. We also loved the paneer wrap, which came loaded with smoky tandoori paneer, fresh vegetables, and crispy fries. The paneer lababdar with garlic naan was rich and comforting and balanced out the more playful dishes nicely. For drinks, the dark-chocolate cold cocoa was excellent--rich without being excessively sweet--and the masala chai was satisfying as well. The menu is also quite flexible, with several dishes that can be prepared without onion and garlic when requested. Service was warm and welcoming throughout, and the entire experience felt thoughtfully put together. Hocco is a new addition to Chicagoland, backed by an Indian food legacy of more than 80 years. You get a ton, the bowl looks small but it filled the entire bottom half of a full size square container (if i had not eaten a bunch before doing my take out).
