Unfortunately, nearby Pizzeria Posto Al Sole was closed for a holiday so we decided Greek would be the next best thing, mostly due to proximity.
Our group (5 total) took a table outside. We ordered drinks, which took a bit of time to arrive (especially the Irish coffee). We also got some tzaki and bread as well, on the house. it was pretty good! We then ordered our food--I got the haloumi salad, which really hit the spot. It was healthy and filling. If you like cheese and haven't had haloumi before, you've got to try this one! It's salty and solid enough to stay together when heated on a grill (perfect for bbq's). All the others ordered meat (brochette mostly) and it came with either fries or pate. The pate was delicious, I'd suggest that as a healthier alternative to fries (which are also surprisingly good!).
Now, while the food was good, the service and atmosphere left me wanting more. We ordered fried calamari to share as an appetizer but it never came. When we asked about it, they asked if we still wanted it with our main course but we decided against that. It also took us a while to get the bill, we were getting cold outside and wanted to get going but had to ask twice for the bill. Also, the environment wasn't the nicest--the tablecloth they put on the table for us (clean) was still damp and had holes/cigarette burns on it. read more
