Writing a review for Kristina that will do her justice and truly highlight what an incredible impact she has had on my life is a truly daunting task.
I have known Kristina for over 6 years and have worked with her both professionally and personally. I met Kristina when I was 22 years old and had just moved to the US from Europe. I was young, motivated, scared, ambitious and naïve with a wealth of decisions, challenges and choices in front of me. I was working in social work with very limited experience in a foreign country with a population I was unfamiliar with. I was facing issues such as drug abuse, mental health and familial instability - and don't even get me started with boundary issues. Kristina (working as our onsite therapist) supported me with my clients, and really challenged me to see things from different angles. She understood and accepted my frustrations and provided empathetic support with vicarious trauma. I truly don't know how I would have done that job without her! Im sure she would assure me I could!
I have studied Psychology since I was 16 years old, In other words, I had a view on therapy. I knew of it, I knew its benefits, I knew the methodologies and I knew its theory. "I knew, I knew, I knew". I knew nothing! I never thought I would benefit from therapy, I never thought I would find any one who "understood me". As Kristina and I grew closer I would share some of my more personal experiences with her and I can't begin to tell you how helpful she was. I was about a year into living in the US and was struggling without my family/support network, having relationship issues and facing challenges at work. Kristina provided me with consistent support and compassion that I was truly lacking in any other aspect of my life. For this Kristina, I am so grateful!
Kristina is compassionate, intelligent, genuine, empathetic and professional. A truly amazing therapist! I am now back living in Europe and still maintain a friendship with Kristina! read more
