Talented, brilliant neurosurgeon.
He is innovative, and…read morecutting edge on "hardware" for the spine.
Here is the rub.....
His staff are the most abusive, rude, mean, inept women I have ever encountered.
He enables the behavior because many have complained & NOTHING changes.
They billed wrong and ignored faxes from CVS for refills.
When I alerted "staff" about this, I was told me, "if you do not like the way the office is run, leave."
I ran out of Gabapentin (nerve pain med) over a holiday weekend and ended up forced, to wake my primary care doctor for an emergency refill, on the 4th of July. I went into a full withdrawal, and it was terrifying I also had no idea, Gabapentin was addictive. It is not a narcotic or controlled.
I just got the WC claim adjuster to allow my primary care doctor to call in LIDOCAIN patches, because 13 days after leaving messages on the "medication line", that DMV-receptionist,
still has not called them in.
The claim adjuster approved, over the phone, without a hearing, me to PICK ANOTHER neurosurgeon, due to the horrible staff. They do not call her back either, and she is also, "sick of it." Trust me, changing doctors without a hearing is unheard of, so that is just how terrible, the office is run.
Their wish has come true....I AM leaving.
Forget about any follow up care.
There is ZERO physical therapy even after getting 2 artificial discs implanted in me.
Even though I complained about the ongoing tendonosis (NOT tendinitis) in my weak left leg. They "accidentally nicked" the pereneal nerve, at the top of my left leg, and I woke up with "drop foot". LBP has returned and I have yet to have an MRI to see if either of my surgery, fusions, has fused or not. As the patient, I WANT TO know. He will not order the MRI to find this out. Hmmmmm.
I then had an XLIF fusion, (3/27/17) that was helpful to the area with scoliosis, but the drop foot is only partially resolved.
LBP has returned as well.
Go someplace that has a true "team" approach.
What good is a spectacular neurosurgeon if his staff ignore you, and your post-op needs?
Letting patients go into withdrawal, due to ignoring the medication line is not worth the stress.
The WHOLE waiting room was saying all of this back to me. People I run into that had surgery in this office, first say, "He has the worst staff ever", without any prompting, so I know it is not just me!
I have the calls made to this specific line, in my cell phone to offer up as proof.
I am not defaming anyone.
