I want to make something very clear: this is a REAL review from a REAL working-class person who actually went through bankruptcy.
I'm a professional truck driver and small-business owner. I work for everything I have. I spend weeks away from home, thousands of miles on the road, and countless hours behind the wheel trying to build something better for myself and my future.
Unfortunately, my experience with the trucking industry's lease-purchase system put me in a financial situation I could no longer sustain. What was supposed to be an opportunity to become an owner-operator and build a business became, in my experience, a financial trap. Between enormous weekly truck payments, operating expenses, fuel, maintenance, and all the other costs pushed onto the driver, I eventually found myself forced to make one of the hardest financial decisions of my life: filing Chapter 7 bankruptcy.
And THAT is when you learn how important it is to have an attorney who actually sees the human being behind the paperwork.

And to my fellow TRUCK DRIVERS specifically: please understand every number before signing a lease-purchase agreement. Don't just look at the truck or the potential gross revenue. Look at the weekly payment, maintenance responsibility, insurance, fuel, deductions, balloon payment, termination provisions, and what happens when freight slows down or that truck goes into the shop. Ask yourself who is actually carrying the financial risk when things go wrong.
I learned some of those lessons the expensive way.
But bankruptcy gave me an opportunity to reset, rebuild, and move forward wiser than I was before and I'm grateful Attorney Mike George and Debt Advisors represented me through that process.
