Glorily Lopez is not your advocate…read more Expect the following: - Inflated billing practices - Excessive fees - Inefficient services provided - Unnecessary, unreasonable, and duplicative work When considering the reasonableness of your attorney's fees, you must ask yourself: Were the results obtained by the attorney generally considered successful, or within the reasonable expectations of the parties? Did the client receive a benefit from the services commensurate to the amount of compensation sought by the attorney? Did the client receive fair value for the services performed? Did the client have a reasonable expectation of a fee that would be charged, and if so, what rate and amount? Is the fee charged substantially more or less than the reasonable expectations of the parties? Did the client have any understanding as to the approximate amount of time which would be incurred? Was an estimate provided? If so, how does the fee sought to be charged compare with the estimate? What are the prevailing hourly rates in the legal community in which the services were performed? Did this representation involve peculiar expertise, beyond the capabilities of an average attorney? Is there any reason to believe that the attorney's services or the complexity of the matter required extraordinary effort or talent to justify a fee in excess of rates customarily charged by other attorneys in the community? Was the client kept reasonably informed during the representation of the services being performed and the charges incurred? The answer to the above in the case? NO. NO. NO. NO. NO. NO. NOPIDY NOPE. NOPE NOPE NOPE. F*ck no!

An incredibly underwhelming experience with Glorily Lopez…read more Her hourly rate is $230, for which you expect the level of professionalism and knowledge to commensurate with such a high fee. Incognizant of the sensitivity in the area of immigration law, I was bilked close to $7,000 to file* two forms, I-821D and I-601. *The term file is used loosely because none of the two forms were actually filed or completed. In my opinion, the fees charged were unreasonable, excessive, duplicative, and inefficient. Glorily did not accomplish my goals as a client, there were no results, and I received zero benefit from the services for which Glorily was compensated for. Instead of continuing to pour my funds into an endless pit, I decided to end her representation and obtained another attorney for a fraction of the fee and was able to prevail in my case. For all those unaware, there is a program within the State Bar of Wisconsin where you can confidentially elect to file a Fee Arbitration form to contest the fees. Here's the website: https://www.wisbar.org/forpublic/ihaveadisputewithmylawyer/pages/fee-arbitration-program.aspx The cost is as low as $25, depending on the fee in dispute. I would highly suggest partaking in this program, made available to anyone who has a fee dispute with their attorney.
