while the music does service a small niche (aging hippies) everyone can appreciate the attitude of…read morethis station. they run unabashed adds for hydroponic 'secret gardens.' scratch that, they play pot song marathons featuring songs like 'don't boggart that joint.' they take their news from the onion. last i listened in, the weather report was 'look outside, it hasn't changed in the past month, it wont change for another month. great attitude

Teeny tiny little office tucked away in a business strip that more closely resembles an old motel…read morethan home to Santa Cruz areas most AWESOME radio station! Went by to pick up some tickets won after being caller number 5 and nearly could not find the place because it seriously doesn't look like a place of business. Then after finding the place we were unsure they were even open. The studio and office is on the second floor of this old building that has exterior stair cases. We walked up and looked in some windows. All were dark (it was a Sunday afternoon) except for the actual studio. The DJ had the window cracked and we could see he was talking live on the air with his headphones on. We waited a bit and listened. it was pretty neat. He was a cool laid back guy (wouldn't expect any less of a K*PIG DJ though!). Got our tickets and met a radio personality. Seriously tho the offices totally matches the personality of the station. Random, unique, a little rough around the edges, but quirky cool!
