I can't remember exactly, but I'm pretty sure I was on antibiotics from either him or my regular dentist at the time of my appointment with Dr. Harandi, which means I wasn't in pain or had any issues when I was at this appointment. During this appointment he said we needed to do a bone graft on that tooth or I would eventually loose the tooth. He quoted, I think I made an appointment, but probably cancelled because the antiobiotics kicked in. Fast forward to 2023, pain again, antiobiotics worked, but after a few months it's hurting again. Asked my general dentist for more antibiotics, she said no, see Dr Harandi. Made an appointment and he said, if you would have listened to me in 2015 you wouldn't be in this situation right now. In my head, I'm like FU, I'm in pain, fix my tooth. He's like tooths gotta come out and we'll need to bone graft. He was giving me the I told you so attitude but I can't argue, he did. During that same appointment, he said #13 needs a bone grafting, schedule an appointment and get it done. No BS, that entire ordeal sucked, lost a tooth, bone graft, pain, took weeks to recover. Every day, each week, each month, and each year after that surgery I kept hearing Dr. Harandi in my head telling me #13 and to schedule appointment. So after 3 years, 2026 I scheduled an appointment. No pain, no issues, but I knew eventually if I wait, I'd be losing another tooth and going throught that entire painful process again. I scheduled, he did the exam, and he said, why did it take you so long to come back? Here we go, I think I'm in trouble. He said schedule the appointment lets open it up and see what it's like inside. Once I'm in I'll know whether it's just a grafting, or if we have to extract. I said Dr, can you save my tooth? He said I don't know, I can't tell, but what I can tell you is that I'm in the business to save teeth, not pull them. That was a great answer. My appointment was 3 weeks later, so 3 weeks of praying that #13 is my lucky #. Sure enough it was. Dr. Harandi saved tooth #13, he didn't say I told you so, he said, get your teeth professionally cleaned every 3 months, floss and brush regularly. Bottonline: Dr Harandi and his team are pros. Listen to him and you'll keep your teeth!

In fact, due to the recent shake up of so many dentists not taking Delta Dental, we moved our kids there too. So now the whole family goes. I basically just go for cleanings... twice a year despite the recommended 3 times.. (the third one would not be covered. Penny-wise and pound foolish, perhaps, but two times in a year has done me well so far.) My only gripe is a minor one. I like continuity and having the same person do my cleanings. I had Tui at first and then it was another one whose name I forget but she did it perhaps twice so I was growing accustomed to her. Last time I went, they had a person who was, per what she told me, a temporary person. She kinda rushed it, with no nice comments or feedback regarding my flossing. About which.. I can't remember if I mentioned it but their previous comments gave me a complex about my flossing. So I switched to that Oral-B charcoal and mint where the floss is black. And it is so satisfying to floss with it and actually see the plaque that is scraped away. It shows up against the black thread of the floss. To be candid, I was waiting for some props on results of the improved flossing and felt a bit deflated when they never came. Oh well... first world problems as they say. Of course, nothing is perfect and the best evidence of my satisfaction level is my continued and expanding business with the doctor. And in any case the front desk staff is always super nice, welcoming, professional and great with kids. Keep it flossin!

Dr. Sandra Gadwood has been my dentist for over ten years. She is the best dentist I have ever…read morehad; she is one of the two or three best medical professionals I have ever known; she is one of the five or six finest people I have ever known...and I've been knowing people for sixty-five years. Sandy Gadwood does GOOD work. For example: in fitting a crown recently, she kept at it until the crown was absolutely perfect. She is extremely conscientious, and takes broad account of the overall health...or, anyway, overall oral health...of the patient. For years, she has closely monitored a lesion inside my cheek. When the thing began to look risky, she warned me, and gave me a reference to a specialist...along with a number of highly-detailed photographs which I could show to the specialist. No charge for the photos...and, this wasn't really her responsibility. She photographs everything. Her records are outstanding. She advises on alternatives, discussing the costs...and benefits and disadvantages...of various procedures; in so doing, she shows concern for the fact that some of her patients...like me...do not have dental insurance. She is personally concerned with the welfare of her patients...and, I am quite confident, this applies to ALL of her patients, and not just those whom she has known for over a decade. She is concerned with the comfort of her patients. I can't recall any experiences of physical pain, ever, with Sandy Gadwood or any of her hygienists. The staff is in transition; but, a number of them have been with Dr. Gadwood for years, and they are excellent. Her office is friendly and welcoming. Visiting Sandy Gadwood is a pleasure. I have had teeth problems since I was sixteen and had my wisdom teeth pulled. She cares a lot about her patients. As a matter of fact, she sees everyone regardless of their insurance type.
