Went to Pamlico Animal Hospital today for a 1st visit. Everything leading up to the visit was…read morepositive, communication was great, etc. Upon arriving, they put us in an exam room for 30 minutes with zero updates as to when the vet was going to arrive. I dipped out after waiting around 20 minutes to be sure they hadn't forgotten about us. The receptionist said she would check on the doctor to see. Waited another 10 minutes in the room with zero communication or explanation for the wait before finally walking out. 7 minutes later we get a call asking if we were still here. I explained that we waited 30 minutes before giving up. The caller tried to correct me and say that it was only 25 minutes (As if we weren't sitting in the hot exam room acutely aware of the time). The rudeness of being completely unaware and argumentative of how long we waited was the icing on the cake. This visit was as much about us getting to know them as them getting to know us, and no thanks. Our time is valuable too.

They would not make an exception or help us out because they didn't have any openings until May. I would've thought that compassion would have been at the forefront of a veterinary service. But they could've cared less. Dissappointing.
