Though expensive, we have had nothing but good experiences keeping our dogs with them until most recently. One of our dogs, a very social and well behaved West Highland terrier, was banned from spending any time with other dogs on the 2nd day of a 7-day stay after bitting another dog. He spent 6 out of the 7 days of our trip either in the kennel or, for some reason, the hallway outside the kennel while our other dog was in the kennel--a very strange decision given that he's great with our other dog. Why not have them in the same space? Though my Westie has never shown signs of violence or aggressiveness before, I realize the need for them to be careful and protect the other dogs, but no one at American Pet Resort contacted us to tell us what had occurred. We learned after looking at the online cameras. There we saw our Westie confined to his kennel while all the other dogs, including our second dog, were playing outside. Why didn't someone from the kennel call us to let us know? That kind of proactive communication is something I expect. I was none too pleased to find out what happened only after having to make a call to find out why our Westie was left alone in his kennel during outside time. While away, I made a call suggesting the staff place my Westie and my second dog in a separate outdoor space with one another. The staff member I spoke to said they would do so, but they only did so once. Our Westie spent the next 5 days out of our 7 day trip in either in his kennel or the hallway (?) just outside of the kennel, and has been banned from outdoor play with other dogs during future visits. We will make sure that there will be no future visits.

On the way back from our trip, I called the Pet Resort when we were 45 minutes away to give them a heads up and I talked to Emma (or Emily). There was one client ahead of us who had 3 dogs to check out so it took a minute, but she was great with him. When it was our turn, she was just as wonderful with us. This young lady is a gem of an employee who truly demonstrated her love and devotion to the animals in her care.

Went to Pamlico Animal Hospital today for a 1st visit. Everything leading up to the visit was…read morepositive, communication was great, etc. Upon arriving, they put us in an exam room for 30 minutes with zero updates as to when the vet was going to arrive. I dipped out after waiting around 20 minutes to be sure they hadn't forgotten about us. The receptionist said she would check on the doctor to see. Waited another 10 minutes in the room with zero communication or explanation for the wait before finally walking out. 7 minutes later we get a call asking if we were still here. I explained that we waited 30 minutes before giving up. The caller tried to correct me and say that it was only 25 minutes (As if we weren't sitting in the hot exam room acutely aware of the time). The rudeness of being completely unaware and argumentative of how long we waited was the icing on the cake. This visit was as much about us getting to know them as them getting to know us, and no thanks. Our time is valuable too.

Such an incredible facility with an amazing staff. We won't use any other kennel again. They explain everything and provide a tour of the facility. He came with some bad habits especially while on the leash. Our Veterinarian recommended Bill Mattis at River Ridge Kennels. After we talked to Bill on the phone we enrolled Teddy in the six week obedience training course. And what a blessing! We found their prices very reasonable and the training was excellent. There were six dogs in our class and each dog had their own set of issues and personalities. The love, respect and compassion Bill showed our pets was nothing short of amazing. Well, Teddy passed with flying colors and my wife and I did as well. Bill and staff come with many years of experience and I can't give enough praise to Bill as he is the consummate professional when it comes to training dogs AND their owners. Nothing like a having a locally own business. As soon as we walk-in we were welcome with huge smiles and I could feel the "zen". Love the fact dogs are able to walk around instead of staying in crates. The salon was spotless, the gray wooden floors makes it feel really spacious and it gives a nice modern touch. The golden pieces of art work adds a balance of elegance for the owners and the dogs. Such a treat to had come 12/22/2018 two days before Christmas Santa was seating next to their lovely Christmas tree. My mother-in-law brings her schnauzer to Holly and Milo always looks great. I live in Charlotte and have been taking our miniature schnauzer to the same groomer for five years now. Being closer to Christmas we missed our window to schedule his appointment before we travel to Greenville. I decided to be adventurous and take Chiple to PCK9A to be groomed so he could be nicely groom, clean, and fluffy for the Christmas pictures. One of the best decisions I made for my doggies. When I dropped him off he made lots of friends, every pup had wagging tales (always a good sign as a dog owner). All the groomers rave on how cute and sweet Chiple was. Of course that added a smile on my face. Holly was so gracious to make room for Chiple on her busiest Saturday, yet, for that I am grateful. Now to my sweet boys hair cut. You can see his before and after picture. Holly did a wonderful job with his schnauzer traditional haircut. My preference it's to leave the skirt,brows and beard long. Chiple's hair was evenly cut. His fur smelled pretty good and he had a cute red bandana. Looked like a cute Christmas present. The prices are reasonable which allows room to tip the groomers for their hard work. They arrived on time (9am appt) and my Yorkie was happy to greet them. Services lasted about an hour received a full package and nails. Price was a bit high $100 but was advised ahead of time that the Mobile services do cost more. The groomer was very sweet, and gentle and could tell she enjoyed her job. I was pleased with the overall process and outcome. Definitely would recommend!
