Both empathetic and whip-smart, Ellie helped identify specific actions we could take to get sleep back on track. It was so reassuring to make a plan with her and to have real time follow up so that we could course correct and adjust as needed. When we encountered some challenges with the 2 to 1 nap transition, Ellie was the only person we wanted help from and once again she was exactly the resource we needed. We also felt SO supported by Ellie as a birth and postpartum doula for our second child. Using zoom, email, text, and phone, Ellie was like an expert big sister in the weeks leading up to the birth, as well as in the beginnings of labor, and most especially in the early postpartum period. The birth escalated so quickly that there wasn't time for zoom support, but honestly the postpartum support alone was invaluable (and thank goodness for Ellie's nudge via phone for us to hightail it to the hospital-- our son was almost born in the car). Her expertise in sleep and lactation along with being a thoughtful and experienced mom of three... I truly can't speak highly enough. We will forever be grateful to Ellie for helping us grow into happier, stronger parents, and she will forever be our go-to for all questions parenting / birth / sleep!

In a few weeks, she feels more like a friend/ family than someone we just work with. Thank you! Amanda!

We cannot say enough wonderful things about Tara. Having her as our doula for the birth of our…read morethird child at Mount Auburn Hospital was one of the best decisions we made. I was hoping for a VBAC, and Tara's experience, knowledge, and calming presence gave us so much confidence every step of the way. Throughout my pregnancy, she was incredibly responsive, thoughtful, and generous with her support- always available to answer questions, explain options, and share tips (including hospital bag suggestions we never would have thought of, even after two previous births!). When early labor stretched on longer than expected, Tara was an absolute rock- providing steady emotional support and helping us navigate our options with clarity and reassurance. Once we were admitted, she arrived immediately and supported me so my wife could get some much-needed rest. As labor intensified, the coping techniques Tara guided me through were essential in helping me achieve the unmedicated birth I had hoped for. Tara's care didn't end after the birth. Her postpartum support was truly invaluable, with regular check-ins and thoughtful, thorough guidance that made such a difference during those early weeks. We are beyond grateful to have worked with Tara- she helped us have the birth experience we dreamed of, and we would recommend her wholeheartedly to anyone looking for a compassionate, skilled, and truly exceptional doula.

There truly aren't enough words to describe how much Tara meant to me during my VBAC journey…read more After my first birth ended in a C-section and I was told by my OB that a VBAC wasn't recommended, I felt defeated and scared. I carried so much anxiety into my second pregnancy -- fear of another surgery, fear that my body couldn't do it, fear of going through labor again. From the very beginning, Tara gave me something I didn't even realize I had lost: belief in myself. She gave me hope when I needed it most. Throughout my pregnancy, Tara was steady, compassionate, and always there. She answered my questions promptly and never made me feel silly for worrying. When my anxiety spiraled, Tara grounded me. When I doubted my body, she reminded me of its strength. During my long labor, hospital staff changed multiple times, and that continuity of care from Tara was essential. She was the constant. She knew my history, my fears, and my goals, and she made sure I never felt lost in the shuffle. Tara showed up in every sense of the word. She had helpful suggestions for managing pain, changing positions, and staying focused. When things got hard, and I worried I might end up with another C-section, Tara looked me in the eyes and reminded me I could do this. When parts of my birth plan shifted, she was instrumental in helping me adjust without feeling like I had failed. Because of Tara's support, I achieved my VBAC. She was a huge part of that outcome. I truly believe my experience would not have been the same without her. I only wish I had found Tara before my first birth -- I genuinely feel things could have been different. I would 100% recommend Tara to anyone. She is not just knowledgeable -- she is grounding, empowering, and deeply committed to the women she supports. I will always be grateful for her. If I decide to have a third baby, I would absolutely want Tara by my side again.

The care that I was recieving was impersonal. With different midwives every visit I felt like I was a folder not a person. I was scared of what would happen during labor in a hospital full of people I had never even met, how would I be treated then? I decided to look for a midwife and see if it was an option for me. I quickly found Jen Ross of Lionheart Midwifery and setup the consultation. I knew from the first appointment that it was a better option for me so we moved forward with no pressure from her. Our prenatal appointments were very thorough, she was very knowledgeable and offered me options. Jen was organized and professional yet personable and easy to talk to. The delivery went very smoothly, it was a completely natural process that I can reflect on with a smile. I was also extremely impressed with the aftercare we received. She was easy to reach by text with any questions and her visits at home put me at ease and made the whole experience magical. I can't recommend Jen Ross from Lionheart Midwifery enough. I have learned so much from her regarding positions, her spinning babies knowledge, simply her calm demeanor and her ability to advocate for her laboring families. I recently had the immense pleasure of working with Enza during a multi day induction. In every other similar situation that I have encountered this birth would have ended up in a c-section, not for lack of trying for a vaginal delivery but simply because of arrest of dilation. Enza was there for countless hours with more energy and a seemingly bottomless bag of labor tricks even when our traditional methods of induction proved futile. Enza has developed such a strong and trusting relationship with all of the healthcare providers at my place of work. We worked as a collaborative team and this incredibly family was able to have the birth they had desired and all parties were healthy and happy. It was truly remarkable to witness.
