One of the best meals we had spending three weeks throughout Czechia. My six-year-old daughter and…read moreI went for lunch around 11.30 when they open on a Monday in August. Here's our experience. 1) Food: The menu (there's one in English) is organized around weekly specials and permanent food. We ordered the corn soup, triple cheeseburger, and mini doughnuts. Every plate was beautifully presented and delicious, but the corn soup took the cake. It's the best corn soup I've ever had. Even my daughter loved it. The burger was delicious! It's cooked through, but that's typical in this area. Ask for a bowl or mayonnaise for the fries. The mini doughnuts come with two on top of mascarpone that tasted more like ice cream. The caramel sauce is rich and the peanuts on top were a nice touch. 2) Drinks: Their drink list is longer than the food menu- beer, cider, wine, coffee, juice, milkshakes, etc. The local hard cider is very good. My daughter enjoyed her apple juice. 3) Service: From beginning to end, it was top notice. Friendly and the timing between dishes was spot on. Be sure to tip between 10 and 20% at the end. 4) Space: With a garden courtyard and minimally-designed dining space, it's beautiful. Restrooms are clean. 5) Price: Everything came to $33 USD. A great price for amazing food!

We found this bistro on the road between Prague and Krakow, what a great find. Our waitress spoke…read moreEnglish and they had English menus for us. Each dish was beautifully presented and delightful. Our driver ordered the aged Beef Steak (perfectly prepared), my husband had the Chicken Mango Quesadilla (?not sure why?) and we all had the pea soup (which is made with fresh peas). We all shared the Plum Dumpling (an authentic Czech dessert). I highly recommend it. The dishes have fine dining ingredients, taste and creativity, but with bistro pricing. The restaurant is spacious, clean and has a cozy homey feel. If you are in the area be sure to check them out.

The good flavor in food, beautiful atmosphere, and quality service prevented this review from being one star. My wife, six-year-old daughter and I dined here around 17.30 on a Monday in August. Here's our experience. 1) Food: The menu is large and offers nachos, chips and guacamole, tacos on corn tortillas, fajitas, steaks, etc. To feed the three of us, we got the steak fajitas, chicken fajitas, chips and guac, and chimichangas. Coming from the U.S. where Mexican can be found on most corners and having spent a summer in Mexico, the food here didn't compare. But it was flavorful, especially the chimichangas. Nothing was spicy FYI. Every table gets chips and salsa as an appetizer. 2) Drinks: Every drink we ordered was just off as if a key ingredient was missing. To start, I got a frozen strawberry margarita. It was very watered down and didn't taste sour or sweet or much of anything. Then we ordered regular margaritas on the rocks. When they come out in a big glass filled one fourth of the way, we thought it was a joke. Nope, it was a splash of again a margarita that was just off. It was really bad and almost undrinkable. 3) Service: It was on point- friendly, helpful, quick. 4) Space: It's a beautiful space in the city center. It comes with brighter colors and large dining rooms. 5) Price: For everything, it came to almost $100 USD- by FAR the most expensive meal we've had in the Czech Republic. In my opinion, not worth the price for fine to good food and terrible drinks.
