Speaking of green, you'll recognise iHans by its big green frontage. Run by a Korean man, iHans is perfect for a mid-week afternoon putter. Or whatever you golfing types call it. Plus, there is fancy equipment so you can track the speed of your shot. If, like me, you have no idea how to golf, this is a good place to perfect your non-existent skills. Come with a trusted golfer - someone who won't tell your pals how crap you are - and train up. Its only six or so dollars for a hundred balls. No need to bring your own clubs - iHans will sort you out. For the rest of you - who might be struggling to see why you'd want to go to an indoor putting range - this is the perfect after work activity/'quirky' first date (vom)/ thing to do instead of going to the movies.

There are also 2 full size courses on the same area. The holes are quite simple but well looked after and go along the River Torrens and weir area. They hold twilight golf, with 9 holes lit with floodlights during summer nights, which is cool. The kiosk is alright, with small amounts of food and cool drinks and some hire equipment.

The course itself is moderately challenging (very challenging for me) with lots of nice open fairways, and tough pin locations behind deep bunkers. I usually play there at least once a week, for both the convenience of the location, the price, and the great customer service.

Located close to the CBD, yet off the beaten track enough to not be a main attraction, it's one of…read moremy favourite places to take visitors. Impress them with how dinky the Torrens river is downstream of the weir, which is adjacent to the Pro Shop. Nice spot for drink or an ice cream. If golf isn't your (or their) thing, the Pro Shop's got two or three bikes that you can borrow for free. Nothing too special about this council run course, but it's super relaxed - probably the most important factor for enjoying yourself if you suck at golf. It's so chilled that pedestrians cut across the fairways on their way home from work, don't hit the office people man! The official policy on alcohol is: no! However, the bins were loaded with empties (even spotted a porno in one!). So use your (best) judgment. $14.50 for adults, $11 for twilight. Clubs are $3 each to rent. As the Pro Shop closes at 5pm you need your own clubs to play twilight. 20% discount on green fees for Adelaide city council residents. Also, there's a twofer in the entertainment book.

Supa golf has bigger golf balls and clubs and gets a golf buggy to push around with 4 clubs in. It has 18 holes on the course. We went on a hot day but the place has shaded areas in. This place has its own car park and a shop which sells drinks and where you hire your golf clubs from cost was only $15.00 each. Didn't book was quite busy but did go on a public holiday did get quieter as we got though a few holes. Will defiantly go again great day out spent about 3 to 4 hours there in total.

So far this has proved a much better investment than fancier clubs and has rapidly added distance, accuracy and consistency to my game. Gary (AAA PGA Pro) has a bag of tricks to help correct just about any flaw and is both clear and supportive in his directions. Results are often immediate, with simple adjustments working as described and helping the golfer understand the mechanics of their own swing. I thoroughly enjoy my lessons and would strongly recommend Gary's coaching to golfers of all skill levels. The course itself is a 9 hole course with two separate tee blocks for 18 holes. Saturday morning competitions are popular so bookings are required. There is also a small pro-shop.
