Hey Guitar Center, my favorite band, Air Supply, is getting a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on October 8th. You guys should do their hand prints for the front of your store! Just sayin'! Such a well put together store. I cannot say enough about this place! I love the Cymbal & Drum room, being I'm a drummer. Your drum guy is super cool & awesome. Love the Eddie Van Halen mural out back behind the store. You should add Dolly Parton! I'm shocked her hand prints aren't out front! My fellow Yelp musicians, you NEED to come see this AWESOME Guitar Center! It's one of my favorite things besides the Hollywood Sign!

It was it's own experience. There are tons of plaques of handprints and signatures of famous musicians and bands. It's really cool and I enjoyed looking at all of them seeing who I could find. When you enter the store you see how big it is. It has several sections with different types of instruments. There is a variety of guitars, a drum section with cymbals and so many other things. As far as service goes we had limited conversations. We just walked in and the person working at the front just kind of looked at us and nodded. One person passing by us did say that if we needed anything or if we had any questions to let him know but that was about it. Overall this Guitar Center visit was okay. The exterior plaques are really cool to look at, and the store is huge with a variety of musical instruments to look at or purchase.

During the first online lesson, the owner took out his anger on my daughter via a FaceTime rant, yelling at her, telling her that "your mom is rude" and saying that this relationship was not going to work out. My daughter was scared. He verbally assaulted her, and when I confronted him about it in a phone conversation, he said that he speaks to everyone that way. I don't even speak to my child in the hostile way that he did. This man is scary, rude, and abusuve. He told me that we are "not his type of clientele," which, at this point, is a good thing because his "type" must be okay with verbally assaulting children. Update based on the owner's defensive harangue: I've been a public school educator for almost 30 years, so I know what good teaching looks like. I also know what positive relationships look like. He can spin this and insult me all day long, but it doesn't change the fact that he unnecessarily lashed out at my child and scared her so much that she couldn't even focus on the rest of the lesson. If he were teaching in public education, he would have been fired.

We're now at the end of our second session and I hope we can continue for years to come. Siree is masterful in how she interacts with children. She's warm, sincere, and easily shifts gears to adapt to what children and babies need in the moment. She's so perceptive and she remembers each and every child from the moment they walk into her class. In addition to being knowledgeable about child development, she really knows about music and does a fantastic job of explaining the reasoning behind the methodologies of Music Together and how our children experience music. There is plenty of street parking available and if you miss a class, make-up classes are easy. I highly recommend Music Together in Beverly Hills!

In class she brings out instruments for the kids to play with such as drums and shakers. My son gets excited every time we go to class. I highly recommend music class here .

If you are shopping for your first guitar, or honestly any guitar, just go to True Tone Music. I…read morewill get into why, but that is basically the whole review in one sentence. I found them online and called ahead to see if they had the guitar I wanted in stock. They did, and whoever answered the phone was so genuinely enthusiastic that I was excited to go make my purchase. When I got there the place was busy, with people in the back trying out guitars and a few staff floating around helping everyone. The thing that struck me right away was that all of them looked like they actually enjoyed being there. The guy who helped me, Louis, was a total rock star. I told him I was after a guitar and wanted to start taking lessons, and he immediately walked me back to meet Shawn, one of the teachers who happened to be in that day. Shawn and I hit it off, and I texted him later that day to set up my first lesson, which is this coming week. I am genuinely excited for it. The guitar I wanted was there, brand new and in flawless condition. Here is the part that really got me. I had read that silk and steel strings can be gentler on your fingers when you are starting out, so I asked about them. Instead of brushing me off, Louis walked me through the real pros and cons, and not once did it feel like he was nudging me away from them to save the shop a little money or labor, which is honestly what I half expected. I ended up deciding against them, and then he handed me a set anyway and told me to take them home, and that if I changed my mind I could come back any time and they would put them on for me free. He let me pick out a handful of picks, threw in a tuner, and even knocked a chunk off the price of the guitar without me asking. I had not even thought to ask, since it was in perfect condition. Then there was the warranty. I asked about it, they did not know off the top of their heads, and at one point something like four of the staff were working to track down an answer for me. Mind you, I had already checked out. I was buying that guitar no matter what the warranty said. They chased the answer down anyway, simply because I had asked. They also threw in a hat, which sounds like a tiny thing but genuinely made me grin. Picking up a new instrument feels like the start of something, and a small gesture like that fit the whole spirit of the place. I walked out already wanting to come back, even though I have no reason to until my lesson. This is the kind of customer service people say does not exist anymore. I am here to tell you it does, and it is alive and well at True Tone Music. I never even planned to buy my first guitar there, and now I cannot picture it having gone any other way. Huge thank you to the entire team, and to Louis & Shawn. You made my first guitar purchase a great memory.
