Fire in a Frat house, where I am the house mom. The sprinkler went off in one of the rooms and the Fire Department responded. They turned off the sprinkler, and the security panel also went down. This all occurred in the middle of the night. Koorsen repairman responded within 90 minutes, got the fire alarm panel back up and running, and replaced the sprinkler head. I needed two fire extinguishers: (1) 5 lb. ABC and (1) 5lb. Purple K. Josh Clark was most helpful, friendly and polite. Both extinguishers were in stock and were waiting on me when I arrived at their Blue Ash, Ohio location. Thank you for the great service. I would recommend them. We had hired them to clean our hood in our restaurant. The company has been cleaning our hood system for 5 years. They work at night. Recently after a night of cleaning we found they had completely destroyed 8 of our Ridged Baffle Hood Filters and the hood was still filthy. We contacted the company and we were told they would not replace the baffles and they were not responsible for the damage. We will discontinue using them and I do not recommend them to clean your hood system. read more

Recent had an experience with a fire alarm system being monitored by Koorsen. Called to report a problem with a low battery error message on my system and they sent out two technicians who spent 5 minutes to tighten a cable connection on the panel and charged me $327. When I called about what I considered an excessive service charge I got the usual "We always send two men in a truck" and unwilling to adjust the bill. I was a 12 year customer of Koorsen using their alarm security service. I recently sold my business and called them 3 weeks prior to closing to let them know I no longer needed their service. No one I spoke with seemed to know what to do. I called 5 separate times and spoke to 3 different ladies. On the day of closing and my 5th phone call I was told that I needed to submit my request via email. I submitted an email and asked the recipient to confirm that the email was the final step in closing my account. She confirmed we were done. Two weeks later I get a call asking for payment. I asked for a manager and was told my account was still active and overdue. I got no explanation and manager was useless. I paid. Then 9 weeks after closing I get an email from Victoria in collections saying I owed them a termination fee for canceling the account with no notice. No phone call or invoice - just straight collections. I paid their fee and asked Victoria what the problem was there. Victoria said that wasn't her department and she heard many customers with same complaint regarding account closures. Good job Koorsen. After 12 years I can not give them a recommendation. i am a business in fort wayne indiana and have all my fire extinguishers filled at koorsen until my salesman retired and now the ladys at the front counter quoted me 83.00 to fill a 5 lb tank ! asked to talk to a manager and the manager said i was quoted for a new tank and the best she can do is fill them for 62.00 a fill . granted you can buy these tanks for 63.00 online . i told them there competitor will fill there tanks for 30.25 ! then she said if they will fill them for that go there ! the sad part is i used to pay less at koorsen but i guess since my salesman retired i am shit out of luck !!! had them filled at nowak williams in fort wayne read more

I have been with Koorsen Fire and Safety, for my residential home alarm system, for well over a year with no complaints/concerns. A few weeks ago I received a bill in the mail from "Alarm Funding Associates" showing an outstanding balance for alarm services. I initially thought this letter was a scam, but after checking my records realized it was time for my quarterly payment. I contacted Koorsen directly and was told they SOLD all of the current contracts to Alarm Funding Associates and they are now my provider. With a small amount of further research I figure out all of the emergency phone numbers I have are useless as well. Glad this was all discovered NOT during an emergency. Koorsen claimed that Alarm Funding Associates sent out information about the transition, I received nothing. IF I had, why would I spend time/energy look at mail from Alarm Funding Associates when I have an active alarm system with Koorsen. When I asked to speak to a manager I was told for legal purposes they are not allowed to speak to me, WHAT?! Additionally I have a contract of 3 years that I suspect I have to fulfill.
