There's a sign that states where the line starts with poles guiding people as to where they should be falling in line. Like numerous others, I didn't see the sign. People started falling in line by the window, which is where I was sitting. I eventually moved my seat. Now, I totally understand what the hype is all about. They offer fruits, sauces, and crunch options that other frozen yogurt companies do not offer. While I was falling in line, someone was writing down what I wanted to order. I was impressed that she upsold me. I was asked which option I wanted. I opted for a cup or tub. Then she asked if I wanted a medium or a large. She didn't ask if I wanted a small, medium, or large. I'm thankful I ordered a medium! The couple behind me had a slight misunderstanding because the female ordered small for them to share. He didn't sound happy with her choice. Eventually, she changed the order to a larger size. I knew that I wanted mango. I am thankful that the employee suggested the Biscoff crunch and sauce. Oh my gosh, I slowly ate my yogurt. I wanted to enjoy every crunch with the sauce and yogurt. They gave a generous amount of everything. I would highly recommend llaollao!

The name, I think, is apt…read morebecause, when we think of home, we imagine a place without fuss, a place where we can just relax and be who we are. Most of all, it is a place where we find comforting food which we can just eat, eat, eat. No pretentions at all. That's also the feeling I get when I go to Ice Cream House. The ice cream here is not in the league of Carmen's Best or Hagen Daz, but it is also, in my opinion, at par with most ice cream brands sold in the supermarket. Most of the time, I even prefer one particular line of ice cream from Ice Cream House than most brands in the supermarket. That line is the coconut-flavored ice cream often mixed with other ingredients, usually local fruits. But what I like best is the plain coconut flavored one which I can describe as simply delicious. Like a home, it is comforting, refreshing without unnecessary gimmick. I love it just the way it is and, even though I will explore other ice cream brands, I am sure I will keep coming back to this one.

Recently though, I stopped by a branch at Marikina, my hometown. While it was pretty delicious, I think most of the child-like goggle sheen has worn off. Really, Ice Cream House serves fairly average ice cream. I think what was kind of disappointing was that it didn't have a distinctive flavor. Yes, I'm pretty proud that all the ice cream here is homemade (who wouldn't be?) but it's kind of disappointing that there's none of that unique texture and flavor that you've come to expect from ice cream made locally. It tastes like normal western-made ice cream. They offer a fairly decent selection of flavors and combinations (including the beloved banana split) but if you're looking for all pinoy ice cream, you're better off going to your local dirty ice cream vendor.

Both waffles are crisp and buttery, a warm and toothsome combination with the chilled yogurt. I keep it simple when it comes to Red Mango: original fro-yo at 6 ounces (P125). With every topping that's added, prices can climb higher than initially expected. If I choose to add ripe mango and cheesecake, I shell out P35 more. I haven't quite perfected my artistic fro-yo game for this reason, but if my wallet had no boundaries, I would toss in Oreo crumbs, almonds, mochi balls, crushed graham crackers, fresh fruit, dark chocolate. And I would just stare at my creation for a while, admiring its majestic beauty, how it completely negates the purpose of ordering all-natural, low-calorie yogurt. This Red Mango's location near the cinemas of Eastwood Mall makes it a convenient dessert parlor to visit before or after a movie. If you're looking for a quick snack and don't want to get carried away with the sugary overload of candy near the cinema, frozen yogurt at Red Mango is a good alternative.

All I know is that I'm a fan of their all-natural non-fat frozen yogurt. Both the original and the flavored yogurts are delicious. The flavored yogurts change on the daily so you always expect some variety. You can also opt to put toppings on top of your yogurt which I definitely like to do. Mochi and oreos recommended.

Yes, you read it right: She did not only choose to drive to the next barangay to get her ice cream. It was really just a pint of ice cream that she was thinking of buying and it already would cost her PhP 400! This ice cream must be really good, I said to myself. For making us visit another barangay for just a pint, it had to be. The circumstances really made me curious about this ice cream. Jokingly, I told my friend that I wouldn't leave her place without having tasted even just a spoonful. And, like a good friend indeed, when I told her I were to leave in a few minutes, she gave me a cup of Carmen's Salted Caramel Ice Cream. Just one taste and my leaving was stalled for awhile. That Salted Caramel was sooo delicous. Very sweet, rich and creamy. I could tell the makers really did not skimp on the ingredients. Sinful, I felt sinful. Not because of partaking of this heavenly ice cream, but for judging it before even tasting it. Forgive me, Carmen, whoever you are. Not again will I be skeptical about your creation. When they say your ice cream is the best, they really mean it. Even just one pint is worth a drive to the next barangay.

It is UNPARALLELED in its taste, consistency and texture and I can tell that the ingredients used are the finest of their kind. Eating this ice cream is a luxury and an otherworldly experience. I'm not one to talk about food like this, but it's true.

As a student, I often have stressful and "I deserve this" kind of moments, so I just walk across from my school to get a treat and eat it on my way back. There are times also my colleagues and I crave for ice cream so we order a Blizzard cake and bring them back to our lab. I usually get a KitKat Blizzard. I like that they have a "Blizzard of the month" and feature a new flavor. When I have a tight budget, I get either their sundae cones or ice cream sandwich. Besides the basic ice cream, they also have drinks like Moo latte and shakes, and also banana splits for sharing. I'm really glad to have grown up with DQ because it did not only satisfy my sweet tooth, but I also got to bond with my close friends during high school, college and even during the present times! It's a classic for me and their ice cream quality did not change over the years (still the just right cold yet creamy goodness they can assure their customers: "served upside-down or it's free!"). I highly recommend to try out their ice cream cakes for a different birthday treat experience and also when they release a new flavor of the month. Check out their new products for every occasion (Halloween, Christmas, summer season etc) and who knows, some of these featured flavors/products might become a regular!

They've got flavors that cater to a lot of palettes, and the classics like Oreo, Strawberry Banana, and Rocky Road definitely do not get old. The Ice Cream Cakes are particularly delectable as well, and they're a welcome treat at any birthday party, or celebration in general! I always find their Blizzards to be nice and thick, full of flavor and immensely creamy. I do wish that Dairy Queen would open a bigger branch already, particularly in Katipunan, where you can actually sit down for a bit and enjoy your ice cream and even work on your paper in peace, because I'd love to do some school work while enjoying a Blizzard. Starr's is well and good, but Dairy Queen just has that older charm to it, and isn't quite as pricey.
