The atmosphere is extremely intimate. At the time there was a three-piece string ensemble that played during your meal. I am of Slovak descent and can say that the Polish cuisine was excellent. The galobki was outstanding and I was surprised to even find it at all in Mexico City. I did have the Pope's dinner that was ordered for me personally by the owner of the restaurant on my first visit. I strongly encourage you to seek out this little gem. They're known for their Pozole. It's delicious and highly recommended. You may have trouble finishing the large if you also want to order other items like sopes or flautas. But you may as well get the large, because the price difference from the small is only like 4 pesos. NOTE: they charge you for a to-go box/cup. So finish up or bring your own Tupperware unless you're willing to pay an extra fee. Another recommendation from me are the flautas carnitas. After scrolling thru the review photos I thought for sure I would land on a burger. But I was pleasantly surprised to see they had hot dogs on the menu, which were cleverly disguised as Perras Maltesas. And being that I am not a vegetarian, I ordered the carnivore selection. Boy, was I glad I found the hot dog on that menu. It is presented in "pig in a blanket" style with two 1/4 pound beefy dogs in homemade roll with 2 kinds of gooey cheese and caramelized onions. And even though I am normally a chili dog kinda girl, I have to say every bite of this tasty combo tasted like a bite from home. And these guys aren't kidding around. The dog runs end to end and it's a hearty meal for one or perfect snack for two. The picture shows the dog after I cut it in half for sharing.
