The whole thing just felt like a stretch. I won't go into too much detail, so I don't ruin the surprise if you do decide to check this room out, but the locks were hard to open and when we did have a combination right sometimes we thought that we were wrong because we couldn't get the lock to open and ended up wasting more time when we in fact had it right. Many of us kind of gave up in the middle of the whole thing because it wasn't challenging or exciting; it was mostly just frustrating. I have been to other escape rooms in the past where the staff made us feel pumped and welcome when we got there, thus enhancing the experience. I did not get that feeling here; even when we received clues the lady who said she would be watching and listening to know where we were at had no idea how far into the puzzle we were or what we needed next. She gave us the wrong clues or clues that didn't apply yet because we weren't that far along. We spent more time explaining to her what we needed help with. And FYI they do not accept Groupon deals on Saturdays.

The game itself was not terrible. Lots of locks, a couple interesting puzzles, and several unduly…read morecomplex ones. You know, a cipher with many layers of translation (colors, letters, numbers, words) which make it more convoluted but not particularly clever or intriguing. No coherent storyline. When we would ask for a hint (unlimited hints are offered) the Game Master would ask several questions to ascertain our progress. Questions which could easily have been answered by watching us through the video or noticing that, yes a drawer was open or an item was in a particular place. You should not have to spend that much time describing to the GM where/what is happening in the room. My biggest complaint is that after time ran out they would not explain how to solve the room. I would've been satisfied with a brief summary. We had two children with us and we were playing the game at a leisurely pace. If we had thought we would not be shown the final solution we would've asked for more hints during the game. We also probably would've chosen an easier room. Their website clearly stated, "If after 60 minutes your group is still 'trapped' our game master can show you the solution - if you want it!" We DID want it, but they refused. (The website was changed shortly after.) In an email response to my complaint the owner told me, "The website stated we CAN show you the unsolved puzzles but does not require us to do so..."

I'd advise taking care with fish- they use RO water, so drip acclimation will be necessary if you're on KC tap water. The Pygmy's cories I got from them were healthy, but they needed a slow acclimation to be put into my quarantine. They're now in the display. They're knowledgeable about their fish and plants (I'd assume salt water as well, but I don't have a saltwater tank, so I can't say one way or the other). The plants I've purchased from them have been great, except for one buce brownie tissue culture that melted and hasn't come back, but apparently my tank doesn't like buce, because I've tired multiple times, and buce melts and never come back, so I don't fault them for that. Their plants are nearly always in good shape and happy. I did buy some downoi that was super leggy, and so I trimmed it to use only the best of it. It's there, in the tank, and I'm watching to see what it does. But the tissue culture of the downoi I got from them really took off, and is propagating just fine. Their cost is in line with online sellers when you factor in shipping. I'll continue to use them. I've been pleased with the knowledge of the employees and their locality.

I noticed a large, very nice gift shop (shared with Legoland) at the end of the exhibit path. Combo tickets to see Legoland were available but only if you were accompanied by kiddos - WTH? Each of my kids were scared to go under water when they started and each instructor has been patient and kind and now they have no fear and each swim really good, even my youngest who started not long ago. Learning to swim is such an important skill to know and I'm happy that we have been able to stay consistent throughout the year. The skills they learn could get them in a swim team, not just the basic free style stroke. Backstroke, breaststroke and even the butterfly and flip turns are taught as they move up through the levels. I feel so much better knowing that my kids know what to do in a pool to feel confident and be able to swim.

There is no parking lot, so you have to park on the street. It is a very small park that has Astroturf in the play area. It is immaculately, clean and attractive with pretty landscaping and a little bridge to watch a small waterfall (it was not turned on at the time I was there). I believe that there is a couple that owned the property and donated it for a park in honor of their daughter. It does not have a lot of things, but enough for small children to keep them occupied for a short while. They have a nice covered bench swing while watching their child. While it is a lovely neighborhood park I think kids will lose interest more quickly if they have a lot of energy to get out.
