Spoiler alert I use my phone for all my and my husbands appts which included my therapy appts for the next year and the reoccurring event was accidentally deleted from my phone and by the time I'd realized it was deleted from my phone I had already missed the appt. that's it.

During my initial appointment I said something about being tired and hoping I didn't fall asleep. He then pretended to punch me. It was weird and unprofessional. He then made jokes at the expense of his wonderful assistant Judy. She is in her 70's and he was saying things about her being a stripper, etc. I loved Judy but Jeff just did not sit well with me. I've found another neurofeedback practitioner and have asked for my money back from Jeff. He will not do so. It's so hard to go to a new therapist in the first place. My experience was not great.

He asked the psychiatrist if it would affect his libido. This is the one thing he most cared about. The psychiatrist told him point blank that it would not. So when it inevitably did (three days into taking the medication), we googled the medication ourselves. One of the top side effects is decreased libido. This is why my husband does not trust doctors. And he now refuses to go see a different mental health doctor. The small amount of trust I helped garner for him for the medical field is gone. The hope I had in helping him with his anxiety is gone. When I called in to cancel his next appointment and I voiced my complaint to the front desk and asked that it be passed on to management. Connor, who was working the front desk seemed very dismissive. There was no apology offered on behalf of their wellness center. Our next appointment was simply canceled. The mental wellness of their patients was not taken seriously. The satisfaction of their customers was completely disregarded. I do not recommend this facility.

We had a very concerning experience with Summit Counseling while our minor child was receiving…read moretherapy services. As parents who still retain our parental rights, we attempted to participate appropriately in our child's care and treatment planning. However, communication with us as legal parents was refused even in a limited capacity allowed under Utah law. This made it extremely difficult to stay informed about our child's therapeutic progress. We were also informed that therapy sessions billed under our child's Medicaid coverage focused on concerns raised by the placement caregiver rather than our child's own treatment goals. Our child had expressed reunification as an important goal, yet that goal was not reflected in therapy direction. Parents should expect therapy providers working with minors to remain neutral, patient-centered, and willing to communicate appropriately with legal parents unless a court specifically restricts that involvement. That was not our experience. We are sharing this so other families understand the importance of asking how parental participation is handled when a child is in placement and receiving counseling services.

My son has been without his medication for two weeks and always an excuse for poor communication and poorly run organization. Even my pharmacy acknowledged zero response after several attempts. Your child gets the whiplash from this poorly run behavioral institution! Any pediatrician can manage better than this place! What an embarrassment! Not even a real psychiatrist to manage things!

Dustin understands anxiety well and knows how to help you methodically address it and challenge yourself, but at completely manageable levels to help you mitigate overwhelm or depression. Dustin is also very understanding and accepting--no need to censor yourself no matter who you are or how you live your life--and has a great sense of humor but can read the room :) and doesn't make light of your heavier, more difficult moments. He's supportive, encouraging, knows how to help you get results, and I would recommend him to anyone.

My daughter and I called asking information about the program. The person was very gracious and suggested that my daughter come in to the program to determine whether she was ready or that the program was a good fit. There was NO mention that there would be a charge for this "meeting". After finding out that they don't take medicaid I was left wondering where their priorities were - (caring more for money than people). My answer came when I received a message that I was being billed 170.00 for this meeting. I pointed out that there had been no mention at all that there would be a charge for this meeting given that we hadn't even decided to go to the program. Legally one needs to "let the buyer beware" BEFORE hand if there is going to be a charge for this meeting. This did not happen! When I pointed this out they came back with "well, they would take 100.00 instead of the 170.00. (from an unemployed single mother who could barely afford groceries and I told them this!). I rest my case about this company being more concerned with the money aspect of the business and their unprofessional tactics of not letting a person know that there will be a charge for a meeting to determine if the program is suitable for you. We have now attended meetings at 3 other programs (taking much longer than this one) - When we asked if there would be a charge for the initial meeting they looked at us and said a resounding - "of course not'. We went ahead and paid the 100.00 but I don't feel good about my daughter having to pay it but it is good information about this program. I just noticed that on this site it say's that there is a free 30 minute consultation. Not so which is now false advertising on top of it all. I wish I'd looked on this site before paying at all. There are many really good programs all over this state. Keep looking! ps. I would like to mention that after the owner offered a refund my daughter called and got an immediate refund. I have a lot of respect for how he handled this complaint. I do however think it appropriate for the staff to review their protocol on my "letting the buyer beware" recommendation before charging for the initial meeting.
