What could improve? Customer service! I tried calling several numbers and could not get a live person. I went on line and "chatted" with 2 reps who could not help me so they referred me to the numbers that did not work and was a recorded message. What do you do when you have a problem? I know it probably sounds strange, but I was pretty excited to visit Kohl's on a recent Northshore day. We don't have a Kohl's in New Orleans, so I was excited to check this place out and see what they had to offer. On the day we were here, they happened to be having a huge sale, so I just stuck close to the sale rack. They had a lot of good stuff on sale: tops, shorts, jeans and dresses. The rest of the store is a typical department store like Dillard's and they have a little bit of everything here. I like the way the items are laid out and easy to find. Prices are reasonable, even for the items that didn't happen to be on sale. read more

Kohl's is a big box department store. I normally get my big box fix at JC Penny, but decided to give Kohl's a try. The store is divided into sections based on what products are sold. There are men's, women's and children's clothing sections. There is also a small housewares section with famous chef cookware proudly on display. One thing that I did notice is the cleanliness of the store. It seems that many stores are so popular that it is difficult too keep them clean. This place was immaculate. The staff working were also great. They were very friendly and seemed to enjoy their jobs. When asked where things were they actually walked me to the section rather than pointing. It was a nice touch. The clothing selection was comparable to a JC Penny type store, but prices seemed more reasonable. There also seemed to be a larger selection of casual shirts at this store. In addition to the regularly priced merchandise, there were large sections dedicated to discount items. There were even some designer shirts from the winter collections for under $10. When returning a purchase, the customer service employee deducted $10 from my original payment amount because of their Kohl's Cash policy. I returned everything I bought from them, but she would not give me all of my money back, instead giving me Kohl's Cash, which EXPIRES in a month. $10 in my bank account never expires. On top of that, the Kohl's employee laughed when I asked if I could get my money back on my credit card instead of in Kohl's Cash. You're welcome for my $10 charity Kohl's. Cruella De Ville Comes to Covington Third world management sweat shop leadership mentality. Human bodies are hired for short term to consumption and abuse with massive overloads of physical work and unrealistic expectations. The management spends time in vehement worry over results from employees exhausted by physical labor jobs. Rather than a concentration as publicized on Customer Satisfaction or Employee Job Satisfaction; Reverence or respect for employees is obviously void! The manager barks all the while threatening employees with termination if they break under the enormous physical strain. Often employees work in the non-air-conditioned warehouse organizing and re-organizing and when this store which is measured by its sales volume has only 6 people in 80,000 square feet to help you; well, you had better be prepared to be disappointed! Customer Service is severely lacking I went in to do what should have been an even exchange. The person behind the Customer Service desk had no clue as to the meaning of even exchange. He insisted on refunding my original purchase and then attempted to charge me more for the replacement. NO!!! I had to call the manager from my phone and she did do the exchange, although she was quite dismissive. I asked if I had to worry about someone coming in to exchange a gift (even exchange--size, color, etc) and being told to pay more. The manager refused to answer that question. BEWARE of this if you are giving gifts this Holiday Season. Your recipients might have to pay if the price has changed on the item. read more

This is pretty much your standard Kohl's, the store is clean, the parking lot is huge and there are always plenty of spots. This is great place to grab some decent clothes and housewares. I love to pick around the sales rack because you can find some amazing bargains. This was the place my parents would take me to get all those 'back to school' clothes back in the day. Their shoe selection is not bad either, but I mostly order my shoes online nowadays. They have all kinds of coupon / discount deals especially if you sign up for a Kohl's credit card, in which case they send you coupons and you can earn 'Kohl's cash' for money spend on anything you purchase. They also have scratch off deals where you can get different percentages off your total, with all these things combined the savings can be pretty substantial! Overall I like this location but I really wish they would open a location in Metairie because this location is not convenient for people who live in New Orleans. read more

Great products and tempting sales, but beware if you need customer service! My first experience in the customer service line was an extended wait because one poor employee was working behind the desk and answering the phones because, ironically, everyone else was running around the store in anticipation of a visit by the corporate staff. Today's experience involved trying to exchange a defective product. Apparently, if the store is out, the online branch of the store is meaningless. So, although you would like an exchange for the same product that is still available online, it will cost you more if the item is no longer on sale. Apparently, there is an additional penalty if you had the nerve to use a discount coupon for the original purchase! Sad when companies brag about their customer service when their store personnel are not even equipped to handle simples transactions like this. read more
