We wanted a real program and one that was certified by the governing Korean TKD body (Kukiwon). Meaning, I had come across numerous TKD schools, watched instructions of lots of different masters, and experienced different atmosphere of each school and students. And, of course, I've called and visited several TKD schools around Quantico after we moved to the area, and I am absolutely thrilled to have found Master Im for my son!! I did find a few TKD schools offering a little less tuition but required 2 or 3 years of contract. However, Master Im was MOST FLEXIBLE with tuition payment plan out of all the schools I've contacted, and I am definitely confident that Master Im's TKD PHILOSOPHY and SKILLS are superbly high and strong that it surely justifies his tuition rate without a doubt (If you are ONLY concerned about cheap tuition, this may not be a good school for you). His instructions are HIGHLY DISCIPLINED, MOTIVATING, STRICT, and very ORTHODOX (I say "orthodox" because I trained in Korea when I was young, and I know how it's done in Korea), yet humorous and accommodating enough for students to be fully engaged with TKD and have great fun at the same time. If you are looking for a TKD school, I highly suggest that you visit each school's "Black Belt Class" even if you (or your kids) are not yet a black belt and watch what the school has to offer to their best students in action. As a person who loves physical activity, Method can't be beaten! I enjoyed the periods of instruction and also enjoyed being part of a gym family. Shortly after I joined, my young son and daughter also started attending classes. I was impressed how Stu took the time with my kids and gave them individual attention and truly worked with them, they were not one of many. Stu and MJ also catered to my needs of a 7:30am class. I was the only student, however due to my work schedule that was the only time I could attend and they were extremely accommodating (12 months accommodating of one student). I couldn't believe the level of individual attention I received. I received more services than I signed up and paid for...I got meal prep advice, body compositions taken, goals assessed, basically a personal trainer. But not a gym personal trainer, more along the lines of a life coach/gym trainer. I'd highly recommend Method Boxing to anyone. This gym is suited for beginner to expert level boxers, kick-boxers and Jiu Jitsu , the fact that my children used to frequent the gym is a testament to that. After soccer season, my children and I are trying to work Method back into our schedules.
