But it was the nearest and easiest choice. The mixture of Chinese and Thai decor and a menu that includes Peking Duck also warned of overly localized fare, as did the non-Asian clientele.
But in one corner of the menu, there it was: Amok. Cambodia's signature, boneless fish stew, served wrapped in lotus leaves.
It did not disappoint: a marvelous and flavorful creation. The stir fried broccoli and sticky rice also are highly recommended.
The owner and one waiter are Cambodian, with a Thai Cambodian in the kitchen along with with chefs from Hong Kong. Give the place a try - but ask the staff for their favorite dish recommendations!
