Do NOT go with these guys. Even look at their other reviews, all one star. I wish I did my homework a little bit more before going with them. It's nothing personal, they just lack good design skills. I had them create a website, portal, and E book. The website always looked terrible, the portal is non-functioning, and the ebook wasn't readable. I had to have another company come in and fix everything. I have lost THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS. The BIGGEST issue I had with them was that they can be incredibly rude. Staff members snapped at me on the phone, and even had to apologize afterwards about their hostility, blaming it on "not having their morning coffee." They also lied on what they are working on. They said they were making a bunch of edits on the ebook, I waited over a week, and when they sent me back the ebook, it was the same one. I challenged them to point out the differences, and they couldn't. In the end they tried to paint me as a difficult customer - but I just wanted good work for all the money I was paying, and they couldn't do it. They just lack a good eye for design. My team and I are extremely disappointed in the level of service received from KnoxWeb, specifically Kevin Shick and Larry Allen. We were sold on a vision for a mobile app (iOS and Android) over 1.5 years ago that is still "in progress" by their team. They have refused to align with us on a timeline for completion of even the Android v1 app (we haven't even seen a working prototype of the iOS yet), and repeatedly convey that they are "testing and working on fixes", yet cannot articulate what these fixes are and have explicitly said that they no longer have any testers on their team with no plans to backfill. Thus, we have been stuck with testing the app ourselves and relaying feedback to them which appears to fall on deaf ears. Our emails are ignored consistently and when we do receive a response, it does not answer any of the questions we posed nor provide any details on when to expect progress. Each week they send a build that is minutely different from the prior week's, IF they send one at all. On the calls, the TPM/developer, Larry, does not explain what has been updated and never follows up on questions we ask him. Over two months ago, we had a call with Kevin (owner) and Larry to outline numerous major deliverables that needed to be accomplished for us to begin beta testing with a pilot market, and they have yet to implement any. These details are the tip of the iceberg in terms of their unprofessionalism. We have been using Knoxweb for over six months and have had an overall excellent experience. There have been some lag times in responses to emails or calls, but everyone I have spoken to has been courteous and helpful. Over the course of a couple of months, we have an amazing product that is professional, clean, and responsive that I am very proud of. I would never recommend anyone to them. Knoxweb has cost me over 12k to them not counting all the money I missed out on (due to the fact that people are still having problems even registering for my site or contacting me via my site. As well as all the money I had to pay out to delay all the promotions I had in place to launch my site due to all the issues) and an entire year wasted and my site is still not working properly. I contacted them last Friday on another issue with the emails and contact pages not working and have yet to hear from them. I have t pay someone else to fix the issues. They assured me that I would be on dedicated serve and I found out that my site is one a shared IP not alone server. read more

I am writing this review to thank, Knoxweb, for the job well done on finishing our website/web portal design. They have shown diligence and dedication to finish work on time and on budget. Even though there have been several problems during the design, Knoxweb was able to maintain the efficiency I expected, resulting in a job well done. The staff (Sheri MacAleese and Mike Mizner) did a wonderful job of communicating what was being done and their work exceeded my expectations. Sheri spent many long days and weekends working to meet deadlines and my requests. I went into this with a concept of what I wanted the portal to look like in my mind and they were able to take the project from that to a successfull end result. KEN SCOTT and KNOXWEB...I paid 1000s of dollars for a website/software that has never worked. Since October 2015, I have been working with Knoxweb, more specifically Kevin Shick (OWNER) and his crew to create a functioning website for my company (Neo Gene Matrix.com/Genetic Fitness Matrix.com). The website was supposed to communicate effectively and functional so that it communicates with what we dubbed the software side; where member and registrant files are kept. The software side is where Knoxweb was supposed to have the software calculate certain algorithms that I gave Kevin Shick and his crew to put in a unified system for foods and exercises so that members could access their eating and exercise plans. WELL, THE SOFTWARE NEVER WORKED. THE SYSTEM TO CALCULATE THE CALORIES, POWER POINTS and link them to the nutritional data never worked. It was frustrating for both my wife and I. After 10 months, my wife and I got completely exhausted with the back and forth and sarcastic attitudes and games in having us beta test "progression" in the project that never progressed. My wife and I took several weeks away from the project just to recover and during this time, no one from Knoxweb reached out to us. We even gave Kevin another chance at a much simpler version and its been delay after delay. Here it is March 13, 2017 (18 months later) and we still don't have a working product. I have asked Kevin Shick (the owner) to reimburse me 5 times and he(Kevin) has denied my requests and even ignored me which has been common over these last 18 months. I have lost 10s of 1000s of dollars and have even had to reimburse nearly $5000.00 to customers who prepaid for our product which I sold based on promised deadlines; by the way they have NEVER MADE. To put this into perspective. The original initial completion date was 11/16/15 and final phase completion with working product was January 7, 2016(same day I paid them in full); these deadlines and none of the more than 10 additional deadlines have been met. Yes, that's right, this project was supposed to be done over a year ago! Kevin even recently (last week) lied in an email to me saying that he hasn't been paid all of the money for the project. Truth is, we paid him 100% of all we agreed to and the balance of $1250.00 he credited us as part of an agreement to remove the last YELP complaint we made and posted. So, now that he's stated we didn't pay the balance and I still don't have a working product, I am reposting the original problem and even adding to the OVERALL HORRIBLE NIGHTMARE OF AN EXPERIENCE! DO NOT HIRE THESE PEOPLE, THEY ARE BAD, BAD NEWS! SO MUCH TO PROFESSING CHRISTIANS, WHICH IS HOW THEY CONVINCED ME TO DO BUSINESS WITH THEM in the first place! Almost a year and I don't have a working site. They dealt with my constant concerns over lack of progress by switching project managers. The owner (?) won't take calls - Kevin Shick couldn't care less how bad his employees handle things. He's all about not admitting to any wrongdoing so he's covered, rather than fixing the problems and delivering on promises or admitting they can't be fulfilled and working out a compromise. Emails, questions, concerns - all ignored. Ridiculous excuses time after time, being told they are busy or were getting ready for a party (seriously, this was one of the excuses!) and I'm not their only customer! Their "team" are hacks in India who can't handle anything more than what you can build yourself with very little experience on Word Press. I know because I had to give myself a crash course in Wordpress and do most of what got done myself! I'm a realtor! And almost 60! I'm not a web builder - though apparently I can claim to be one and con people out of their money and get away with it over and over again. So don't be fooled by their attention in the beginning, their seeming desire to work with you at a price you can afford, and their speedy mock-up of a design (just a regurgitated Wordpress template). You will end up having to hire another company and shell out more money to fix what they took your money to do. read more
