Nice ambiance when it isn't packed. Wine selection is a bit subpar and overpriced, but the food is relatively cheap.

I am a fan of the clips they upload to show us the process. I feel how devoted to quality they are -- and I can taste it! Hands down this is on my top 3 restaurants. I really admire their dedication. (I say this as I eat an amazing meal) Highly recommend!

Feel a little bad leaving a low review as i think the sauce they produce is great! was intrigued by…read morethe pop up food events and had seen the fish and chips advertised for a while. as a brit living in berlin i still crave some proper british style fish and chips and thought this could be the place to serve it up in berlin. Unfortunatly it didn't do much for me. whilst the chips were quite good and uk style i received a very small piece of battered fish which didn't have the golden crunchy crispyness I had hoped for and lacked in flavour. It came with some mushy peas and tartar sauce which was nice and a piece of white sliced bread with butter. 9 euros for this style of meal i felt was pretty steep considering for half that price in the uk you can get the real deal. cant comment on the other food as have only tried this and felt rather dissapointed. suggestions for improvement would be to work on the batter and fry it a little longer, be a bit more generous with the size of the fish and price the dish more sensibly

I also tried nussecken (2.20 euro) for the first time for dessert and it was delicious! It's nutty and chocolatey with a soft crust. Compared to local shops, the fresh fruits and vegetables are much cheaper, and sometimes even better quality. A recent trip yielded avocados, pumpkin, and arugula, and that was a show of restraint. There's so much more to be had, including meats and cheeses, snacks from food stands, practical household items, fabrics and craft-y things, clothing and jewelry, and more. Check it! The one disadvantage is the tight quarters. I'm used to markets with rows and rows and plenty of space, and this one is just along the sidewalk. The side up against the water is particularly crowded, with stalls on either side, making it a bit of an annoyance to walk through all the people. The flow of the crowd is generally smooth, albeit slow-going, but every once in awhile you'll find the stallers, who stand directly in front of what you're interested in and spend five minutes discussing the pros and cons of buying it. If you know what you want to get, this is a perfect place to go. However, if you're looking for a leisurely experience spent strolling up and down the market, go somewhere else.
