I might go so far as essay if this particular building, this particular, HIE, may very well be the nicest I've ever stayed. The staff was exceptionally helpful when I inquired on a "local" establishment to eat (Sunrise Inn, by the way, was excellent). And every evening, the snacks come out! Clean. Well lit. And support staff. Everything you want when it comes to feeling comfortable for the evening. I always rate based upon whether or not I would return: if I'm ever in the area, and I need a place to stay, this will be where I end up.

Now it's not usually my first choice I tend to stay a little further in but it's doable. The staff is so accommodating from when you check in to the complimentary breakfast served every morning. I have not had such treatment in a while at a hotel it was shocking. I will say the bathroom needs some updating as it seemed to hold in a lot of moisture. There were few places around the tile that needs some tender scrubbing care. The rooms also are not noise proof. You will here everything above you (I recommend staying on the top floor) plus everything in the hallway. Our room was by the pool and "gym" so there was heavy foot traffic. Now gym is in quotes because you're not getting a grand workout but if you want to do some cardio and some might lifting it will work. The pool space was nice! Very warm inside so be prepared if you're going to be in there. There was also a hot tub space in there too. I would stay here again when I come out to Youngstown, OH.

This hotel was clean and quiet. There were several restaurants around the hotel in walking distance. We had room 301, which was at the far end of the building. Oddly the main entrance is at 1 end of the building, most hotel is in the middleish. If you have issues walking, I suggest asking for a room closer to the elevator. Our king room was huge! It felt like there was a missed opportunity as this would have been a spacious double queen room. Bathroom was at the far end of the room, which was only a little problematic when you really have to go! LOL The coat hangar on the wall is genius for rainy days or even colder weather. The only thing that puzzled us was the lack of dresser/drawer space... Microwave in the middle, fridge on the left, what is that door on the right? We opened it and it was 3 baskets. Was this our dresser/drawer space? Odd... But since we were only staying 1 night we didn't need to use this... Pool but no hot tub, tiny gym, and 1 computer and printer in the business center. Breakfast was included and it was standard hotel fare. We would definitely stay here again, if we do another long road trip.

Had room for a bassinet, stroller, walker, wheelchair, and floor space to play with seating for everyone without it being uncomfortable. Immaculate, and I was down on the carpet a lot so I got a good look. Super comfortable bed. Very sturdy dining table with six sturdy chairs. Giant, comfy Jacuzzi tub was a special treat. Small pool that was perfect for our littles (stairs in and out). Breakfast was also perfect for us: waffles, sausage or bacon, scrambled eggs with cheese, bagels, oatmeal. Really kind, helpful desk staff. Close to the highway and lots of tasty carryout. The previous reviews made me nervous, so wanted to note that as of January 2025 I'd have no reservations recommending this place to families. Only minor notes: no streaming service on the TVs, so bring your laptop or iPad for your favorite shows. No plates, silverware, or literally anything in the kitchen, so bring what you need. (Full sized fridge and microwave and sink, though - I'll just bring some dishes next time.) Couch is worn and tired, but so am I. :). And, strangely, no chain on the door so we barricaded it at night to make sure the toddler couldn't sneak out.

Overall, the hotel was just okay, but several issues made the experience disappointing. When we arrived, the elevators were not working, so we had to carry our luggage up to the third floor. In our room, the bathroom sink had very low water pressure and drained extremely slowly. The lighting in the room was also dim and had an unpleasant yellow tint. The most frustrating issue happened after checkout. We spent a little time in another family member's room before leaving, and my son realized that he had forgotten his large satin pillow. We checked the family member's room and determined that it must have been left in our room. However, the pillow was not in the room and had not been turned in to the front desk as a lost item. The manager was not helpful and repeatedly stated that no pillow had been found. Her dismissive response was irritating and made me feel as though my concerns were not being taken seriously. The pillow did not simply disappear. While it can easily be replaced, the larger issue is the lack of accountability and concern regarding a guest's missing property. This experience left me feeling that the hotel is untrustworthy. Guests should be able to leave personal belongings behind accidentally and feel confident that hotel staff will handle the situation honestly and professionally.

The room was clean and we enjoyed the coffee out most of the day until the evening, plus the tea option was nice. The continental breakfast was a good one, loved the eggs, super flavorful (more so than usual and love having the egg and ham combination, don't think we see that one too often. They even have Chobai (spelling ??) yogurt, just wished they had granola to add (they might have, I just missed it). It was a great breakfast with cereals and baked goods, you can toast them too. Loved the waffles and the topping options, our boys had a load of fun with all your sweet toppings. The pool is a good size and warm, just a super slippery surface, like scary to walk slippery, might want to look into that. We also had trouble getting onto the wifi, the window wouldn't pop up asking if we agree to the hotel terms, so we settled for our hotspots. It could have been user error why that window didn't pop up, I have no idea. But the service was great and clean and it's in a great location with many places to eat within walking distance and also a movie theater and mall that you can easily walk too as well. We'd highly recommend staying at this Hampton Inn.

She immediately blamed me, and told me that I called a third party who reserved the room for me. I told her I didn't contact any third party. I was probably re-routed to a third party when I contacted the Hampton's reservation number online. That wasn't my fault. She insisted that it was. She never apologized, never offered a small discount -- nothing. Sorry, but for $340, a paying customer should get what they asked for. The staff was rude, curt, and acted like they couldn't have cared less if we were there or not. The room was dirty, the bedding smelled like the last time they were laundered, cell phones weren't even invented! There was only one outlet near the bathroom vanity, and only one side table had a phone charger. If you stay here (and I would advise you not to), bring flip-flops or slippers because you will end up with filthy dirty feet. The floors are disgusting! If I could give zero stars here, I would! Steer clear of THIS place!
