Hampton Inn & Suites Stroudsburg Pocono Mountains

I will start by saying I was not expecting much being a Hampton Inn. My first priority when…read moretraveling is Hilton so I have stayed in many different hotels in the brands. This Hampton Inn was hands down the best. We stayed here while enjoying a weekend in the Poconos mountains. I'm a gold member and chose my room ahead of time and the room was ready promptly. After enjoying the mountains we headed to the hotel and went right up to the room. I chose a room facing the woods being a snowy weekend it was a beautiful picturesque view. The hotel pool is heated so it was nice to enjoy and get away from the cold. There is a beautiful view of the outside from the pool with an outdoor area for enjoyment during warmer temperatures. The gym was better than I had expected for a hotel gym. There are amble free weights, treadmills, bikes and ellipticals. I was also surprised that there was a peloton. The only thing that I didn't like was the tv signal kept turning off, but I had brought my laptop so I enjoyed watching a movie on there instead. The breakfast was what your would normally expect from a Hampton inn. There were eggs, potatoes, cereal and a waffle station. I would definitely stay here when in the Poconos again!

We stayed at this Hampton Inn for one night, and unfortunately, the experience was extremely…read moredisappointing. The room was absolutely filthy. The toilet was not cleaned, there was a dead bug on the floor, and the bathtub was so dirty that we wouldn't even consider taking a shower in it. The bed skirt was ripped, and the condition of the hallways was also poor with mold throughout. When I brought these issues to the front desk, the housekeeping manager happened to be there. After I told her our room number, she said, "Oh, that room should've never been rented. It hasn't been rented in a long time, so it needed to be cleaned." Clearly, it was not cleaned at all before we were checked into it. For a hotel brand that usually maintains high standards, this was unacceptable. I hope management takes immediate steps to refund my money and ensure rooms are properly inspected and cleaned before being assigned to guests. I would give 0 stars if app allowed it.

I booked a hot tub suite at Baymont. I can't begin to tell you how strongly I would urge anyone to…read morego elsewhere. The room wasn't cheap, and I simply expect better from any hotel that's part of the Wyndham group. Okay, let's talk location. One of the things the maps won't tell you is that the hotel is in a mini construction zone, nestled between two different adult stores offering peep shows, and a massage parlor that, I suspect, offers some off menu services. Entering my suite, I was shocked to see that it was only a slightly larger room. There was nothing suite about it. The hot tub is located in a little nook, between the bed and toilet. Its separated from each by a semi transparent shower curtain. This also means that if you're laying in bed -- especially if it's dark and the bathroom is lit -- you have an amazing show to watch. Hotels seldom offer much bathroom privacy, but this is INSANE. The toilet is literally 10-feet from the bed, separated by a $&!(!&@ curtain. And, if you use the hot tub, relax with your head next to the toilet. Ahhhh, aromatherapy indeed. To add to the negatives of the hot tub suite, the hotel's water pressure is about equal to my bladder upon realising I'm next to the bed -- barely a dribble. There was a mass of curly, tangled hairs on the intake, and a few others over the side of the tub. The bathroom in the lobby, directly across from the lounge, was closed our entire stay. In the hallway, across from out room, was a trash can full of rotting trash that could be smelled from every part of the hall, and the room. The bar turns into a breakfast buffet. They literally just toss those steel buffet containers on the bar. The tables were sticky, and I ... I just couldn't. We went to Duck Donuts down the street.

The hotel was nice and the front desk reception area were friendly, courteous and welcome…read more However; Lindsay who works as a barmaid/waitress at the Lounge is one of the rudest, incompetent and obnoxious individuals I ever came across. Me and my party decided to leave before I had to confront her in the way she deserved. The Lounge definitely needs to replace this person with someone who fits in with the hotel and patrons instead of someone who thinks she's above serving. They lost our business for the rest of our stay and I am very sure we were not the only ones.

I got upper level room so there was no one above my room to stomp over to wake me up. Usual amenities was there . One surprise was they had breakfast items in a bag ready for next day morning. I remember that during heavy Covid-19's pandemic time like few months ago before lot of people got vaccinated, I did get my two shots by March, I had ventured to meet some business people in NJ and this property is off Interstate 80 half way to my home in upstate NY . Bathroom in my rm 115 needs few floor tile replacement being cracked. Housekeeping forgot to leave soap which had to get it from front office. This small thing took off two stars . Being near busy highway there is always traffic notice filtering in to rooms..

0 star. This is a horrible horrible place to stay…read more We booked two rooms with two double bed in each room for two nights. We reached there, approached the receptionist, she gave us our keys. We went there only to find (to our shock) that both keys opened rooms that were being renovated - there were no beds/nothing. We went back and asked, she spent a good 20 minutes in finding other room and laughed endlessly (we were tired and angry by this time). We finally got two rooms apart (not adjacent) from each other. Here is a list of problems and issues: 1. Bedsheets were dirty, bed skirts were torn. 2. The room was not clean at all. 3. Nothing like the photos shown online. 4. One room had no phone, other room that had one did not work. 5. In one room - the size of one bed was smaller than the other (bizarre..lol, the headboards were bigger than the bed themselves) 6. The coffee maker was dirty, dirty to the extent we could not use it at all (even the coffee sachets were dirty, see picture). 7. The toilets were dirty. 8. The shower handle was broken, see picture. No breakfast because of COVID. We just paid minimal amount for sleeping arrangement in dirty room/beds (last minute booking). Cancel your trip if you just have this place to stay. Its that bad.

Grand Leisure Travel - really cool

Stayed at the "Grand Summit Lodge" with friends back in Early winter 2022. Upon entering the house,…read moreit was already in a state of disarray. Much of the furniture was very worn down, and none of the fixtures or housewares matched. From the lamps, dried flower arrangements, to the kitchen ware, to the chairs & couches, it all appeared to have either been a mish-mosh purchase from a thrift shop, or had seen better days. In the lower guest room, there was a closet filled with lamps (broken? Old? Who knows) and blankets. Going up the stairs, our feet were greeted with nails/screws that were not adequately secured in to the floor. Window shades were falling apart, as was the cupboards. Paint was two-tone... paint or peeled. We tried to make the best of it, as we were amongst friends on a weekender. Then after a day of skiing, we returned to discover there was no running water. This would have been less problematic if we were college kids roughing it, but we had a number of young children with us that constantly needed hand washing, etc. Plus the fact that we're still amidst covid times, but let's be real, having a place to wash up was a basic necessity. The management company sent some young gentlemen who jimmied the basement door open with a butter knife, and attempted to resolve the problem, but they couldn't fix it. We were left with no running water & 4 families for the 2nd half our stay. We resorted to melting & boiling snow from outside the house to try to intermittently flush the toilet and rinse hands. We subsequently made a grocery run to get gallons of water. Anyone needing to hit the porcelain throne for an extended seating had to be driven into town to hit up a store or restaurant. Having a run-down property is one thing, not having running water is a whole level of unacceptable. While I was not the one coordinating our stay, from what I heard the management company offered a credit towards a future stay if we decided to leave early, OR they "would work something out" if we stayed longer. Some members of our party drove 4-5 hrs to get to the house, and leaving in the late afternoon would mean driving in the snow or icy roads late at night, which we all agreed was not safe, so we roughed it until there was sunlight. I heard the subsequent outcome ultimately was a few hundred bucks refund out of the thousands we spent for a weekend stay there. TL;DR: I wish I'd known running water wasn't a guarantee at this stay. Photos speak for themselves. 1.5 star for the TV/ streaming access, pool table, and hot tub.
