That being said, there were some minor problems as well as some Kudos. Kudos first: 1) The staff was very pleasant and helpful on the phone. 2) The Soapstone was packaged and crated in a very secure way. 3) As stated above, the quality of their product is outstanding. Disappointments: 1) They failed to deliver on time. 2) Even though they were helpful on the phone, they failed to follow through with a promise to forward a tracking number. On…read moreThursday we decided to just do a little exploring of the area and were driving just north of downtown Ludlow Vt. and saw a sign for Clear Lake Furniture so we decided to stop in. Being an amateur furniture maker myself and also having been in the wood industry my whole career, I love wood. The furniture that Brent and his craftsmen make at Clear Lake Furniture is top notch. They have many different designs that you will not find in any furniture store and the quality is exceptional. After we checked out the showroom with a good representation of the what they can do I noticed a sign on the doorway that leads down to there shop which invites you to go down and explore the shop and talk with their craftsmen. Well I couldn't pass that up so down we went. We were welcomed by Mark who was very glad to show us around and see some of the beautiful woods they use to make their amazing furniture. He also explained that each piece of furniture is made by one craftsman from start to finish. So if you are interested in some handcrafted custom furniture, do yourself a favor and check them out.
