I literally walked in at 12:10 there are three people in the building two people behind a front desk both seemingly disinterested in and seemingly arguing about who's actually going to have to serve me and another person in an office on what appeared to be a personal call. They asked me how they could help. I explained I was there to open some accounts. They took my name and then asked if would I be able to come back later? They didn't have enough people in the building to help me open two accounts. I asked exactly how many people does it take to open a business checking account and a personal checking and savings. They said well it could take an hour for each. I'm sorry did you say it's going to take you an hour for each account 2 to 3 hours?!!! are we using a typewriter with carbon paper? To anyone under 40 you'll have to Google that. I asked exactly what are you going to do that's going to take an hour to open a checking account. I can do this online in literally 10 minutes at UW credit union I've opened up numbers of accounts before. How does it take an hour much less two plus. They explained there's just a lot involved.. I venture to say this will be the definition of why Summit credit union will remain a tertiary banking institution of little to no significance. Customer service is about knocking down obstacles not figuring out how many you can put on the task of creating them. Super super lame.
