We have our homeowners insurance through this company (they are the brokers, not the actual…read moreinsurance provider) so when it came time to get insurance for my business I naturally went to them. I was seeking liability insurance and coverage for some rather expensive electronics. I made my initial call at the end of August 2013, sat down with the broker a few weeks later and gave him a complete inventory of equipment with serial numbers and replacement costs. I even looked up comparable equipment for those items that were no longer being produced. The agent (Ryan Manthei) said that the liability was simple enough but that the equipment insurance could be more difficult and expensive. I told him to do what he could. After months and months of waiting (and quite frankly I had forgotten about it) I reached out to him. This is now Feb of 2014. I left multiple messages, and went to the office twice. He did not return any messages left on voice mail or in person. Finally today I get an email with a very quick shuffle off to a web link for another ins company to cover the equipment. Not even a quote for the liability. And that is the most important part!! Months and months of waiting, plus looking all the costs, replacements and other items up myself, completely wasted. He couldn't even be bothered to call me in person. Insurance is a service based industry, well there's no service here.
